Just got back from Best Buy with the game. Got the last copy and the store was just about to close. Hopping in now and I'll try some GAF levels soon!

Did some tweaks to my first level, evened out the difficulty in the middle sections and fixed a few flaws I noticed. Probably will delete the old one unless people prefer it.

Of course right after I post about it on Gaf I go back to the living room and the updates done. Apparently the first half takes a half hour and the last half takes two minutes. Who would've thought.

Click on the ? Mushroom and it'll open a menu to select a specific character to use.

I was doing the 100 Mario Challenge and one of the levels was "The Lonely Goomba" where there was only one Goomba in a completely empty level. I crushed it and moved on. The next level...was a Goomba Stampede. That could not have been coincidence.

I hope the quality of the "Top Levels" improves. The ones up there now are okay but not very creative. I found better levels when I looked in the Top Creators section. There should be a GAF recommends thread.
Hope it can be the latter... At least on the store where I went to pickup the game, lot's of people were asking for SMM as well (and by lot's I mean like 5 or 6 people in line in front of me) and I just stayed there for less than 10 minutes. It was cool to see all the hype there for a Nintendo game. Hope this game does very well so it can have lot's of support and DLC like Splatoon.
Bear in mind a ton of people haven't unlocked the SMB3 and SMW tilesets.
(That said I agree with you, obviously. They're the best.)

I was having fun with these silly levels in 100 Mario Mode, and then maintenance kicked me out. My favorite stage from today, just because of how Bowser was freaking out.

Yeah, I'd be really peeved with the day-to-day unlocking system of I had stuck with it. You don't get a new game style until day six? They keep so many useful tools locked away for so long!
Oh yeah, and I made some levels, but it's late and they're not very incredible anyway so I'm not gonna bother sharing them.

Just take the plug from the charging cradle and plug it into the game pad.
Unless you lose the charging cradle altogether. Then they sell them at most stores.

There should be a whole web portal outside of this game for playlists and searching or tagging levels with descriptions. It's silly that they're leaving that to the fans, for now.

I wanted to have a theme to my levels, and although it is a very cliche inspiration I do think it lends itself well to the vibe of Mario, so I will be creating the 9 Circles of Hell based on Dante's Inferno with a level for each. Of course they will be called Dirty's Inferno instead.
Already started Circle 01, Limbo, and I would really love to have more tools unlocked.
I thought I read the patch opened up all the tools? But I got a message saying my next tools would be unlocked on Sunday. So I guess I will wait.

Another level! Wanted to do a more traditional flat-ish level in SMB3 style. An experienced player can probably speed right through this one. There are three one-ups to collect.

Just made a level that im actually proud of. Its not super hard but mainly focuses around wall jumping.
My main goal was try and to do a dark soul-ish loop around/shortcut thing, but Im not sure if I achieved what I wanted.
Once I unlock more tools I am gonna add to it and change it, but I would appreciate any feedback for the time being!

SMW-styled level called Wiggler Theme Park.
This is me attempting to work my way up to a three-act structure level. I wanted to try and show-not-tell what to do, teach players how things work, give them opportunities to mess up a little, then up the ante. I probably didn't succeed on all those levels, but hopefully it's a good heading.

Decided to make a maze-like level since I'm still limited with tools. Unfortunately the maze is shorter than I anticipated due to using the maximum amount of enemies, but I think it turned out well. Feedback is always nice.

Fuzzy is a weird omission. He has a NSMBU model, plus he was in SMW, so that's one less sprite. Him and the green block moving platform thing really feel missing. I actually said, "where's fuzzy" when making a stage that had rails. Otherwise you end up having to use the buzz saw and it's kind of big and looks a little weird outside of castles/air ships.
Also missing the Athletic theme. 3/4 of the themes have an Athletic theme. I mean, it's not really all that different than a grassland auto-scroller... but they have different music and slightly different backgrounds.

Guys i need help, I'm getting error 108-0065 , it won't even let me start the game as it says an update is required first but when I go to update that error pops up. What do I do? I am beyond frustrated. I gets to the retrieving data for the update screen but then times out, and error 108-0065

Updated a few things and it feels quite a bit better in the middle of the stage. Seems pretty complete now and has small improvements here and there. ID: A1E0-0000-001C-A138.

I think it's fairly fun. Not crazy challenging like some levels that other people make, but there is a bit of difficulty and variance to it to keep you interested. Let me know what you think or post a comment on the level after you're done
