You've been eating Ball Parks your whole life, you poor thingWhats a high quality hot dog? Those exist? Lol
butter on steak sounds like a shortcut to an early death
I'm pretty sure that when the OP says "steak sauce" they're specifically referring to A1 and condiments in that vein, not any kind of sauce you might put on a steak.
If a steak NEEDS it then obviously it is a shitty steak. But if people prefer it, well, that's their choice.
Yeah, that's might be true, but there's a vibe of saucophobia for any kind of sauce here!

If your solution to making the most expensive cut of beef available, cooked in the best way, more interesting is to put A1 on it... No, dude. Just no. Do you pair it with Kool-Aid while you're at it?
Steak "sauce" dors not belong anywhere near a steak.
It's like putting ketchup on a hot dog
What's wrong with ketchup on a hot dog? Hot dogs are usually the shittiest meat just shoved through a grinder and thrown into an intestine. Steaks are not.
Why make a $45 steak taste like a $3 sauce?
A good steak is expensive. The flavor of a good steak is by definition expensive. It usually costs $20 plus for the chance to taste a good steak. Why pass that opportunity up to taste a sauce I can put on anything cheap?
If I want to taste A1 I'll put it on some chicken or pork or cheap steak.
A good Béarnaise and filet go great together, but that shitty stuff in a bottle?
Nope, nope, nope.
Eat better meat.I'm not going to eat meat without some sort of condiment or sauce. That's crazy.
Eat better meat.
Nah man.. going to cover it in Heinz bbq sauce and Montreal steak spice and wash it down with a shit load of beer. I'll leave the food snobbery to the upper classes.
A friend and I both got a filet for dinner last night. Without even tasting it he asks for steak sauce. And thats fine with me because he could put mustard on it for all I cared. He just likes the taste of steak sauce. I always heard that a steak that needed steak sauce wasnt a good steak. Its own flavor is what makes it so great and sauces mean you may as well got a hamburger with some A1. I know gaf is full of red meat experts so I decided to pose this question.
Montreal steak spice AND Montreal steak sauce are god-tier, if we are going non-spicy. Honestly there's not a single cut of meat, cooked in any way that won't taste better with Mtl anything on it.
The best cooked steak of the best cut of meat, on the healthiest meatiest goddamn cow in the world...will taste better with Montreal rub. That's a fact, like gravity and taxes. Vous avez jamais manger de steak, motherfuckers.
A filet takes a fatty sauce well. It's very lean.Bernaise with mushrooms and red wine reduction are both great. But if I'm paying $35 or more for a filet mignon you don't defile it with anything I don't tell you to.
