Street Fighter V Latest Build: Cammy's intro got slightly changed

A little ironic coming from the guy who wrote a dissertation's worth of text in the tit jiggle thread.

Why you tell this to me when it's always the same people who protest about this things? I just think feeling ashamed for this kind of thing is unnatural.

Tits? Crotch? Oh my god what is this monstruosity!!! Lol.

Also, we saw how the people who complain have something to hide.

Edit:also, i didn't made a dissertation. I expressed my opinion and the same people quoted me a lot. I just answered to them.

The ratings don't seem to affect games like CoD and GTA. Can these be considered anomalies to the general logic? Or is there something behind it?

Street Fighter has always been rated T (or MA-13) and Capcom don't want to deviate from that. Trailers for SFV had a M rating but Capcom always said that the final game would be T. So if anything was bumping it to a M then they'd rather change it than have that rating slapped onto the series. Would the ratings impact sales? Who knows. Capcom simply doesn't want that rating.

You said people care too much about this kind of thing and I pointed out how much you seem to care, as well.

I'm not sure what your response has to do with that. We saw how people have something to hide? What you talking about?

Those games are less niche than fighting games. Given a smaller pool of potential customers, it makes some sense for capcom to try to maximize the family friendliness of the game. Street Fighter is also about consensual, stylized combat. There isn't even any blood. There's no reason they shouldn't go for the least restrictive rating they can achieve.
If that was the case they'd remove Cammy's and Mika's costume completely. I'd say removing that angle and butt slap does hardly anything to make it more family friendly.

shocking news

Developers keep iterating and improving their game depending on internal (and external) feedback during development.
I don't care about the censorship per se, but these changes are half assed - Kappa - and look like shit.

At least make new animations if you're going to do this kind of thing.

You wouldn't even notice if they weren't pointed out. Reason I find this whole "outrage" pretty silly by other people. Obviously the R. Mika one was more noticeable though.

these changes give me hope for Japan vs Black Characters

What?

A fair point, but I still think there's a at least a minor difference between revealing clothing and drawing attention to it with extreme close-ups.

I'll agree that whatever principles Capcom are following, if any, are a bit confused.

It's hard to imagine anything "sexual" in SFV that would bump the age rating to an M when Senran Kagura can get away with a T rating.

With that said I don't mind this change as much as Mika's. The contention with the latter felt like it had more to do with it's original intent being far more deliberate and the change having seemingly little justification. While it definitely seems like this change might have been more toned down on account of the gratuitous view, it also avoids showing off some low quality modeling.

However, having also said that, when considering this and the change to the split in Mika's CA, I feel like the way things are being changed is done in a very haphazard way.

Tweaking camera angles is much cheaper and less time-consuming than creating new content.

The change to Cammys intro sucks and Capcom suck for doing it.
Sex appeal is a big part of Cammys appeal in general. I think its a mistake for Capcom to lessen that.

Between this and the last thread I can't tell if you guys are kidding or legitimately this dumb. One thing I do know is that Miku makes horrible threads.

Maybe they should tilt the camera downward instead of side ways. The first one was dynamic and now that's lost. Glad they changed it, though. Hate the perverse angles.

Street Fighter is already a well established franchise, I don't see any rating affecting it's sales at all. Again, it won't ever be M, even with the earlier poses the worst possible outcome would be a T, which confuses me why the ratings argument ever came into place.

Street fighter is well established, but it really doesn't sell well. Just look at how hard Ono has had to fight to get updates out. The franchise simply does not make as much money as fans expect. Anything that could impact it's potential sales would definitely get discussed at Capcom. Even if it didn't get it bumped down to an E, if these changes got the "sexual imagery" note taken off the box, it might help them out.

Are you serious? I can't tell any more in these threads. Cammy is still sexy, she just doesn't have a camera zoomed in on her crotch in one animation anymore.

It's hard to imagine anything "sexual" in SFV that would bump the age rating to an M when Senran Kagura can get away with a T rating.

You have to remember that the DoA series has a M rating as well. The ESRB are very inconsistent. Just look at Uncharted for an example. People are still amazed that it only gets a T rating.

Read my edit please. And i'm not really taking seriously the jiggle or else, i really don't like useless complains about sexuality when violence is commonly accepted.

And we saw that some people that were complaining about Mika's slap didn't have problems with a male ass slap in the same series. And that's sexist.

Call of Duty and GTA have massive marketing spend and cultural notoriety. They are the exception to the "M sales cap", and would sell even more copies if they somehow were rated T.

All I learned over the years is how inconsistent the ESRB is, so I agree with that.

That and the butt slap/splits thing it seems. According to vesper arcade, the game had a preliminary esrb of M until recently.

Makes me wonder if the EU version perhaps stays uncensored. They're usually much more lax when it comes to stuff like this.

She's wearing about 4 inches of fabric arranged to cover up approximately 1 slit, 2 nipples, and a buttcrack.

"Sex appeal" is a much different concept than "lust."

I think it has less something to do with rating, unless it affects the T rating, but more likely due to Capcom aggressively pursuing Esports.

If it is because of Esports, I'd actually like them to offer an option to switch back to original versions like profanity or gore filter.

True, the ESRB are indeed very inconsistent. To them "sex/boobs/ass etc" are all bad. Look at PEGI, all Uncharted games are rated 16 and DOA 5 was also rated 16. Tekken 6 was rated the same.

I think PEGI is more consistent. They seem to make the distinction between realistic and less releastic (more cartoony) gameplay.

Senran Kagura is rated PEGI 16.

Which Senran Kagura is T rated?

Because these two are M rated:

I wouldn't be surprised if this was publisher pressure and not a ratings thing. SFV took a massive leap into fanservice territory at a time where that can get you a ton of bad press.

I know shes still sexy. (Like I said), her appeal has now been lessened. It also makes me concerned about what else Capcom will change.

Whatever label you want to give it, Im confident its a big part of what makes her so popular with many of her fans.

The speculation is that it would've bumped the rating. Mostly because these changes were only spotted after the ESRB rating came down. In which case Capcom may have been told which things could be bumping it to a M. It'd be strange if it were eSports related because why model and animate those poses in the first place? It'd be a waste of resources.

I honestly didn't even notice the crotch at first. I thought they switched from a dramatic camera angle to a more standard one and was confused. Meh.

I imagine PC modders can get right up in there and have her fart on the camera if it's that big a deal to them. I on the other hand prefer a game I can play in the presence of others.

Bureaucrats are happy as long as they can tick some boxes.

Nope, if that shit was rated T, the kids wouldn't get tempted by the prohibition.

shame since the original one's angle looks more dynamic.. but this is subtle change compared to R. Mika's butt slap.

This was already fuckig sad by the first thread, now y'all want to dedicate a thread on a half second crotch shot.

Disgraceful.
