You read my posts, you know what I did and didn't say.
Yes, sure, but those are incredibly miniscule changes in the grand scheme of things. It's like releasing an Assassin's Creed game, call it Assassin's Oath and instead of using the Animus, you're just a real old-timey dude. You can do it, but it's so unnecessary and comes across super desperate.
Bloodborne has at least major tonal shifts and tangible gameplay changes.

I wonder if that was actually meant to be a snowy fortress, that could have been an amazing level.
I will only agree to a remaster if they:
-add jumping R2 attack and falling R1 attack
-add the 6th archstone with the snakemen and wolfmen
-add guns
-backstabs are now charged like in Bloodborne
-remove the Regeneration Ring and all other regeneration spells, shields etc. for the true 5-2 experience
-change Maiden in Black's voice actor to Ashley Burch because the current one sounds too much like the doll

Absolutely Tower of Latria is amazing.
The modders already did that though, thats my point. If modders pulled it off with some work, the actual developers could do it way easier with the real source code and a full familiarity with the code base. When using the framerate unlock in DSFix, the games animations all run properly. To the extent that I've actually set the game to render at 480fps just so that I could capture slow motion GIFs of the animations, and they all look perfectly fluid and clean at that framerate.
It's not bug free, but the few bugs left I believe could be fixed, as all bugs can be given enough TLC.
The developers have some legitimate reasons now to put effort into improving the games framerate, because 60fps is a big selling point and I feel confident they could do it based on the fact modders have already gotten 97% of the way there.

Would kill for a Demon's Souls + Dark Souls pack on PS4. 1080/60, improved online and maybe a bit of new content.

This is the kind of stuff I just can't process. I can understand enduring or merely tolerating, but people liked farming stuff in DeS?
I like DS2's blandness better, because I could fully upgrade a weapon without having to mull over it for a couple days.

It's good. The game could use improved resolution and frame rate, but I'm not so sure Bluepoint could transition straight from The Nathan Drake Collection to Gravity Rush Remastered to Demon's Souls Remastered with little to no downtime like that and have footage for the announcement in time for this year's PlayStation Experience. Next E3, though? I can see it.
Edit: Also, yeah, I agree with GarciaHotspur. I'm not so sure this is a tease, though the lack of text-based context to the photo leaves it ambiguous as to its intent, so it could go either way.

I mostly agree with this. The themes in Demon's Souls are about human greed, corruption, and exploitation of others in pursuit of power (I would say cynically because it borrows so much of its atmosphere from Berserk). You also see this exemplified in the castle area with enemies like the fat minister and in the underground area where you have the near-featureless slaves toiling away. The only level that doesn't really fit with the rest of the game thematically is the storm archstone.
Dark Souls I and II are really more of the opposite; they're all about the futility of human action in the grand scheme of things. Especially in DS2, where the theme is pretty much "Hey, those choices we gave you at the end of the other games really don't matter."
One of the best in gaming, even.
I still get lost in this fucking place to this day. Love it.

I would buy that shit so fast. Despite owning it, I never finished Demon's Souls and I finished every other Souls game. A PS4 remaster would probably get be back in the saddle and finish this.

I think it will definately happen. It's the most logical PS3 game for them to remaster now that Uncharted is out. The mindshare of the series has grown from the days when it was released and obviously being a PS3 exclusive there are probably a ton of people who were 360 owners that would like to give it a shot.
Even better if they bundle Dark Souls in there.

"slight" was only related to atmosphere (Demon's atmosphere is thicker and more oppressive/menacing). That the lore is different is clear (i have platinum tropy in both)
