I thought Jin x Asuka is a thing in Tekken 5. But then again I barely play Tekken.

Only VERY briefly, like for one ending where he put his head in her boobs by accident. But then they dropped any interaction between them.

As far as we know, he doesn't even canonically know who she is

Isn't Asuka his cousin? A little late for the Leia/Luke storyline

He would be a loner who inexplicably had a taste for going on amusement park rides.

He'll also have a pet panda

Isn't asuka his cousin? Does this apply incest?

Blasphemy! Why would jin snuggle her boobies???!!!!!

So how do we want to see the Mishima Saga come to a close?

I'd like to see Heihachi and Kazuya killed off... then doing another Tekken 3 style time skip with Tekken 8 with an older Jin and just represent some of the established playstyles/movesets with new characters like they've done with Gigas/Josie/etc. But still really not age Nina at all because why not Tekken.

True. The Lili and Asuka thing ended up consuming any character development Asuka could have had in the main storyline. Which is a shame, she could have done something, since they showed she had the ability to suppress the devil gene like Jun.

He'll also have a pet panda

Named Panda.

Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Kazumi, and Jun beat the retardedness out of Lucky Chloe which finally allows her to speak, dress, and behave like a sane human being. And it's delivered in such a fashion in which that portion of Japan are inspired to drop their ridiculous obsession for young girls to act stupid or mentally challenged while wearing some completely fetishized outfits.

Dayyuuuum.
She's not that bad.

I know who I'm picking against you online. >:)

Isn't Asuka family? A cousin or maybe half sister? I don't think they've really explained her background. Although if you look at Lars ending in TTT2, she does seem to be family.

That vid is non canon.

But their canon relation is that she's his cousin. Her father is Jun's brother.

But Jin doesn't end up knowing her in the storyline. I think she probably knows who he is, but it would be hard not to as the one time leader of the Zaibatsu and the starter of a world war.

It was just for comic relief.

This. Though the idea of having Jin & Xiaoyu's kid mentioned earlier in Tekken 8, especially with a time skip, would be interesting if the kid had a mix of both their moves.

This also lines up with my next point. If they're gonna bury the Mishima storyline & keep Jin around, cure Jin of the Devil Gene in the story & give him his happy ending. And please don't give the possible kid from earlier the Devil Gene. Though I suppose someone has to take up the Mishima fighting style if both Kazuya & Heihachi bite it.

I guess they don't like money. Unbefuckinglievable.

Its a 2016 release most likely. Pretty much every Tekken was released on console 1 year after the arcade, only exception being Tekken 6.

Also I remember MarkMan saying something like next year is going to be a great year for Tekken fans, maybe also a hint that it's coming to console in 2016?

Maybe is a hint of Arcades coming to the US.

The thing is that it doesn't make too much sense to release the console version in 2016 when they can squish another year on the arcades with that update. Each of those arcades cost 15,000 USD. The arcade companies wont buy those if they suspect they cant pay them back and make a profit out of it.

I love these story ideas. I hope we get something similar to this.

I hope that once we get more news regarding console versions, they'll stop being vague about a possible PC release. I think Harada threw a few hints out about it a while back if my memory isn't letting me down. Would be cool if it has some form of cross-platform netcode as well now that SFV has it.

Harada have talked nice about PC for years, and nothing have ever come of it. I still don't think Tekken 7 will come to PC, but if it does, I hope it supports cross-platform play.

Is it going to have crazy CG ending scenes for all the characters? Thats really my only interest in Tekken at this point.

I'm hoping we might get a fresh take on the way story content is delivered. I like the format of Tekken 4. Let's hope they can take that format and extend it to full CG introductions and endings. I would hope focal characters could get a solid 5 to 7 minutes of CG animated story. I wouldn't mind a little more focus be put here.

I also wouldn't count out bonus offline modes.

The game still has a lot to do to improve match making. Also I don't think the game should do demotions until after 19th Dan. This will keep new players engaged in online longer I think. A sense of achievement can go a long way, demotions can be so deflating.

Well none of the Tekken crew fights with guns either... there's really no Sony reps that are a perfect fit for the series. Unless Naughty Dog got back the rights to Way of the Warrior or something...

It's all pointless speculation anyway... it's not going to happen. Reminds me of how many people were convinced that Naruto or Kakashi were going to be in Tag 2 because Lars showed up in one of the Narutimate games.
I don't think Nathan drake would bring a gun to a fistfight. But we'll see.

Nah bruh

Kazuya doesn't really need to die. Heihachi is the only one who caused such much shit culminating to a point. A dramatic death would be needed or even worth something.

Kazuya kills heihachi. Then he takes his satan looking ass home and stops fighting

I can see you being right but I feel that doing another Tekken 6 (waiting stupid long before releasing on consoles) will only hurt the game. They gotta release it when people still have a lot of interest and hype going for it. Gonna be a lot more quality options on the market by 2017. I have no solid basis for my argument other than I don't want to wait 1.5-2 years more to get to play this >_>

Then why would they have announced the console versions officially at the Paris show for a 2 year later debut?

Makes no sense

Tekken 6 was formally announced for ps3 at e3 2006. It never came out until fall 2009. It sucks but this is the reality for being a Tekken fan.

Akuma always finishes the job, & he owes Kazumi a Kazuya kill. The only way a Mishima is gonna live is if they aren't on Akuma's debt-fueled hit list, with Jin & Lars being the only ones to dodge that Satsui no Hadou-fueled bullet.

I was super impressed with the small story segments in TTT2 for both Steve and Leo. I hope Tekken 7 could feature a good 7 minutes of CG on their story. I'd like to see this quality of writing for all the cast. I think Western fans will respond to story content that matters to these characters. I really did enjoy Leo on the train. That was very Hong Kong Cinema with a splash of 007. Also Steve has been my favorite tormented character since Jin Kazama in Tekken 3. Don't waste these wonderful stories on slapstick. I would prefer if the Tekken team treat all their characters with the same amount of craft. Yoshimitsu's been neglected when it comes to meaningful story content for a long time now. smh

She never said kill kazuya. She just hopes kazuya doesnt fall into the darkness. So dunno where you got that from. Also akuma never finishes the job. The only kill he has actually gotten is gotestsu, though argably bison did infact loose his body.
