Malo taking over Zelda's official Twitter to reveal info about Twilight Princess HD

Have you seen the Twilight Realm? Even if we ignored the weird ass monster design, it literally has pixels raining down on the land.
It's a small part of the game, and although I'm not an authority on what is or isn't surreal I don't think it quite hits those notes. It's just magic to me, pixels or not.

I'm guessing the first pieces of information will be stuff we already know: the reduced amount of bugs to collect, and the increased max rupee count. Then he'll probably ask us to visit his store and scan amiibo...

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own

Twilight realm is a lot more than a small part of the game.

It's a key part of the story, setting for the three tears of light sections, setting for Hyrule Castle bit, setting for finale, and it sounds like for the new Amiibo dungeon too.
That's like three or four hours in a forty hour long game, heh. Well, disregarding a new dungeon (I don't know anything of it).

The regular world hosts almost all of the dungeons and quite long sessions between them. Twilight Realm has like one half dungeon.

You're a big guy.
Twilight Princess is a really weird game design wise. I wish I enjoyed playing it more because I love what they did with it.

I really enjoyed playing Twilight Princess but im biased i enjoy playing just about every Zelda game, they are all great games.

Also that moment when
Midna goes back to the twilight realm and says goodbye to Link the 1st time (TEARS)

Ahah ! I love Malo, he is so funny (and more generally all the quirky characters in the Zelda franchise). This artwork is funny and it makes Malo look like the "Navi" character. I cannot imagine the backlash if something like this had happened haha !

MM3D is also a Grezzo game like OoT 3D.

WWHD and TPHD were criticized for being easy and use the same building blocks. There's no relation between them and the handheld remasters.

This. Hero Mode is a given.

I'll just repost this here:

  • improve the economy system, maybe add collectables and crafting (I'm sure they already planned crafting but ran out of time back then, hence all the chests filled with nothing but rupees and money sink quests so they aren't all useless)
  • actually put content between the last three dungeons since there is absolutely nothing between the snow dungeon and the time dungeon, between the sky dungeon and the twilight dungeon and between the twilight dungeon and the final dungeon (maybe add some more optional sidequests in general, a new settlement or maybe even somewhat more focus on Ganondorf with another main quest and cutscene)
  • let us get to the first dungeon faster (not having to repeat everything like fishing, rolling against pillars or spying on NPCs as a wolf which you always have to do like three times would help)

We know they already

  • made it harder/added Hero Mode
  • shortened the twilight bugs stuff

If they somehow bring all this into being, this game would be a perfect Zelda/action adventure, fucking terrific.

I'm hoping the damage is more than 2x. I don't think that would be enough for Twilight Princess.

"You bought it! You are smart! You bought it at Malo Mart!"

Well, that's stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Thank you, Aonuma or whoever made that decision, there's some real difficulty in the game now.

Though kind of BS to those who don't have the amiibo.

Well someone put the idea in my head that the Ganondorf amiibo doing that meant there won't be a Hero Mode, so... now I'm kind of worried.

EDIT: And you can only scan an amiibo once a day, according to the article. So I wonder if that means if you scan the Ganondorf amiibo, then die or whatever, you lose the extra 2x damage and you can't get it back until the next day. That would suck.

Okay the info isn't from Malo, but from Famitsu.

The bonus dungeon is called Thorough Battle: Trial of the Beast.
Finishing the dungeon gives you a wallet of 9,999 rupees.
The Ganondorf amiibo makes you take 2x damage (so with Hero Mode that's 4x)

oops dp

I LOVE IT

Also I hope their solution to fixing the "fucking rupees everywhere" problem isn't just giving us a huge wallet. Though it is a solution, I suppose...

We knew this but only the Wolf Link amiibo will transfer data to Zelda Wii U. No word on what the data is and what it does in Zelda Wii U yet.

Lol IGN voice chat did suggest the Ganondorf Amiibo should take your damage

So I guess that means you get 9,999 rupees carried over to Zelda U

The Amazon description mentioned Hero Mode being switchable at will, so it'd be really damn weird if that turned out to be 100% wrong.

One of the guys on Gamexplan wanted a Hero mode where you lose 2x damage plus get heart drops, which hero mode in WWHD didnt have, so I guess using Gannodorf you will get Hero mode with heart drops, and or use regular hero mode from the menu and you wont get heart drops.

I really hope that doesn't mean that Hero Mode will be locked to a fucking amiibo.

i don't think so. It seem like it gives you a scenario "well, if link and zelda give me hearts and arrows, what would ganon do? " *2x damage*. Since it only is scannable once per day, that means it's just a little joke, not the true hero mode or anything like that.

It would've been funny if scanning Ganondorf's amiibo gave you the ability to use the Sumo Wrestling ability any time. Forget using your sword, just grab your enemies and punch them in the face or throw them off the cliff.

But, taking extra damage is still a nice ability to have.
