I don't think this is true at all...it just rings of generic ass FPS cover. Where are the exposed arms? Where are the ripped abs? Why is he not blasting an enemy in the face with that shotgun?
I don't agree, but we're talking real subtle stuff here.
- He's much larger than a usual protagonist on a cover. He's huge, emphasising the iconic nature of the design.
- You can see his face through the mask, but you have to look closely - it's not obvious and no attention is drawn to it.
- His posture and expression
suggest the sheer aggression, rather than straight up showing you it like in the original cover. This is more of a Mad Max: Fury Road approach - you have to look closer to see the depth.
I'm not going to defend the cover too much though - it's definitely not a particularly strong cover. I just don't dislike it as much as most here
