I still remember all the adults back in 1999 saying it was just a fad. But yea, I think they just need to stop for a very long time on making new mon's, and just focus on what they already have. The series needs a big shake up.
I think it's supposed to be Machina + gear.

Calling it now, Magearna is the first pokemon revealed from Gen 7. This and Masuda's appearance at E3 are too close to be coincidence. CALLING IT!!!

I firmly believe Magearna will be those pokemon that looks amazing when animated, it just screams like that with all those detail. It probably would be like those spherical steampunk-esque machines. It wouldn't be surprising since the debut movie will feature a steampunk kingdom.

That's like asking what Deoxys is gonna look like beside Mew and Manaphy. It's not like all Pokemon are simple and clean designs.
Deoxys looks pretty cohesive though. Magearna just has too much going on, and its Mega form will probably be even worse.
But there's no point complaining about Gen VII without playing it. I just hope they don't half-ass it like Gen VI.

I like it. People say it's too busy, but it's an old school robot so it makes sense to me. It looks like an old mid 20th century idea of what a robot would look like.
I think exceptions can be made when the majority of the internet is going to be misreading it as Mangina.
Low content shit posts aren't criticism worth considering or respecting.
They do, with the exception of the original legendary bird trio. I'm guessing Magearna was just a case of Japanese phonetics having to approximate an English word.

They do (mostly, aside from a handful. Mythicals do though). Magearna is a viable translation of マギアナ
マ = Ma
ギア = Gear in Japanese
ナ = Na
So, Magearna fits perfectly.

Deoxys isn't supposed to be a Pixie legendary like Magearna. He's closer to Darkrai and Genesect than Mew and Manaphy.

As stated in the Gen 7 thread, they've been teasing Pokémon Z way too much for it not to happen. Not to mention all of the loose ends left hanging for Kalos. On top of that, I doubt that Nintendo would want Gen 7 to be stuck on the 3DS with the NX Platform incoming.
