That ex-spinny thing after the blocked normal spinny thing looks dirty because its so tempting to try and punish it. Reminds me of ex-rising jaguar. He seems fun, and the combos actually look simpler than I expected.

I gotta find someone other than Vega I think, I like him but so many things about him are so bleh.
I'm getting really sick of this matchmaking. I'm consistently losing to players who are two leagues above me, or I get matched with someone below me so I barely get any points. Wtf is this?

I've been super busy but today I finally made some time to play a nice session of SFV. I beat survival in normal mode while accepting fight requests, I'm really, really loving this game. I'm not sure if Dhalsim is better or worse than before, but he's certainly a more interesting character now, I play nothing but him and some Chun. I think his CA is one of the hardest to actually land, though, I mostly do it to punish jumps or when I stun someone. On the other hand there are several way to combo into Chun's.
Survival is a chore, though, I'm not sure I'll ever get the last colors :[

So basically... thats when the Street Fighter day ends for us, since most peeps wont stay up until 2am on a monday.
Think im gonna go with my "dont go to sleep after this grabeyard shift, instead stay up and then crash later tonight near the server maintenance" plan.
Watch as my old ass cant do that these days and falls asleep at 1pm >_>

You can either press/hold 2 punches (or the 3P macro) or down input before you hit the ground to quick rise, and press/hold 2 kicks (or the 3K macro) or back input before you hit the ground to back rise.

Any pc players having problems with the hori rap4 kai? My friend and I both have the same exact stick, but I play on ps4 and been having no issues with it, while my friend plays on pc and has issues with it...worked fine for both of us w/ IV
All new league system in SFV!!
Exactly the same shit as SFIV except using bronze/silver etc instead of A/B/C

What kind of issues? It doesn't detect on pc because SFV doesn't support non-xbox controllers. He'll need something like x360ce so it can mimick one.

Yo people might be rage quitting lot more than you think cause today as a mere 750 LP scrub ryu(i am not ass but allright at bet, just dont get enough time to play) I was on a 5-6 game streak against people who are 1000+ ranked. Funny thing it felt like lot of their ranks should be similar to mine not that high. Either i am getting better or they are rage quitting to save points. I was playing casual so they didn't rage quit since no lp to be lost from losing. I gave up on playing rank until they fix rage quit.

Finally made it to Gold tier baby! 4K was rough! At the end I actually got paired up with people of equal skill level a lot, got 3 good wins with 65 lp in a row and then got weaker players for like 10 matches afterwards and only loss one. Feels good, see the people at the top already hitting 6klp lol...I will never catch that, but I put Ken on the map.

Except it does actually match you with people in your range when it's working. I wouldn't be surprised if they disabled it while they are working on server stuff to let people get games faster.

theres a decent amount of quitters but once you get high up its pretty rare. I mean I think a lot of them just want to unlock the trophy and if you are scrubby it's pretty much impossible as there's a ton of good players even in the 1500-2500 range. Anytime u see someone with a 15+ streak that isn't infiltration or something is probably saving points.
Hell I'll admit I disconnected even once when I had a terrible laggy match and we were just teleporting all over the screen. Didn't even want a win like that lol.
It's very random,. i was like @ 1983 LP to start todays grind, was matched up with like 3 people around 20xx the first 3 fights, and I was like, damn this is working, than it went all wonky again, 3500 here, 1100 here, 2700 here etc.

Yea and if you beat good players, you start getting matched up with the big boys. I was in the fight of my life against a sim that was 2500 named Mugen or something. Man, that nigga is going places. Awesome sauce Sim play.

Played a bit of Ultra for the sake of it. Its so fast just to get into a fight.... Loading screens etc

It's street fighter Baby, this is what it's all about. Learning improving, getting beat down, going to the lab, and rising back up again. Imagine how the pros feel at tournaments. It's not high quite like it. And it's just week one.

Is it weird that I think 16 unique characters is alot for a starting base fighting game. I mean people are acting like every fighting game should start off with 50 plus fighters. Even then you would have to resort to "clones".
Na 16 is a decent amount. Especially when there isn't any clone characters and all of them feel very unique.

Once I hit 1500, I saw a fuckton more quitters. Got 10 in a row, all with big streaks unsurprisingly. That's why I want everyone to do it now, make ranked some kind of anarchy and force Capcom to do something quicker.

When it comes, so many are going to be stuck at 1500 and below lp lol. U lose points pretty quickly after a few loses, so when it's implemented they are going to drop like rocks. Funny lp is pretty much PP from SFVl with a bit better algorithms. When it works, it's not a bad way to play.Yeah
Hopefully Capcops implement LP losses for RQ's soon.
