i just found out texhnolyze existed

it looks awesome, i love the ghost in the shell movie style drawings

why didn't anyone tell me that show existed

Because it's boring. Like really....really boring.

Shameless plug for community thread for the artist: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=474451

Yeah, the anime is kinda bad, and SE Lain is a way better anime, a must watch for everyone. I watched Texhnolyze due to Lain back then. Though the name somehow clicked me, and I've been using it for my username in games and forums for more than a decade since then.

Ha, that's one of the five Japan-exclusive collaboration designs utilizing third party IP/brands.

They aren't super interesting anyway. Mostly corporate logo from major retailers that are only relevant to residents in Japan.

To build off of Stump's post, if a key isn't possible, can you see about having sub 89377 changed to No Cost so it matches those of the other pieces of DLC? I think that's something you'd have to ask Valve to do, so I'm probably pushing my luck. ;)

Have we been given a reason why real Monster Hunters haven't come to PC?

Is it some console first party deals or something?

I feel like MH could have some good success on PC.

I think it's just they've tried and mostly floundered on home consoles so they haven't bothered. Or it's like Pokemon where they're afraid of devaluing the brand by putting up a big console version RPG instead of the spinoffs.

With Toukiden and now God Eater coming I'm hoping they might give it a chance though, as you're right, it does seem like a good fit for PC. It's a shame Toukiden was such a shit port as they could have easily made a big splash if they had made a good version given how under represented the genre is. Feels like someone's gotta be close to a Stardew Valley type moment where the others in the genre feel silly for waiting so long.

I'd love to play MH with a proper controller, I've snagged the last couple games and I like their ideas in principle but always give up fairly early in large parts because of the controls and it feeling like something I'd like to play on a bigger screen.

Ports and/or remasters still take significant amount of dev time and QA resources especially if we're shooting for a high caliber port like DDDA. With that said, we do have other projects already in the pipeline...we'll talk more about it in the near future. ;-)

OH BOY

Okami PLS

So uh if we are requesting Capcom games I got a few realistic suggestions.

Okami
Code Veronica HD
Zack and Wiki
Asura's Wrath

I would also love God Hand and Marvel vs Capcom 3 (as well as Tatsunoko) but I realize those are probably gone forever.

Didn't you quit the collecting game?

It has to be something that 'GAFers and Capcom fans can look forward to'. I personally don't look forward any of those titles. Okami, maybe. But it's not something that I'd like to replay only for the sake of higher resolution and framerates. Dragon's Dogma PC is a game changer, the game feels totally different with the console versions.

Have anyone realize that there are 5 active mobile game OTs on the first page of gaming nowadays? 6 if we count FFIX as well. Shit just got real, huh.

I play one of them.

Because the weebs gotta follow the JRPGs even if they're not making them on traditional platforms much anymore.

Kidding only 3/5 are Japanese.

I'm pretty sure you're alone there. Those are games that a lot of people would want. :p

Yeah that's where I am at just now too :/

I just finished that bit last night. I'm glad there are at least a few people who are going as slowly as I am. Pretty much everyone on my list is a few areas and bosses ahead of me and it always makes me wonder whether they're all super efficient or whether I'm slow as a duck in tar.

To be fair I've just not put a lot of time into it yet :p
(Fucking uni >_<)
I've played bout 4 hours and am at this boss so far?

This has been the first stumbling block for me so far, other 2 bosses were pathetic.
But yeah I can't fathom how some have already finished it :-/

im moving fairly fast, i think i may be at like 40-50%?

the level design has been really superb so far, every single dungeon has been full of looping paths and invisible walls and secrets and shortcuts and hidden bonfires and loot and npcs and mini bosses and stuff

it's so damn impressive, i dunno how they do it

i'm hoping it doesn't fall apart in the second half like dks1 did, but nothing about it strikes me that way

i don't like it as much as dks1 so far because i just don't like the level sequence structure, even tho it opened up a bit, it's not the insanely impressive interconnected world of 1 which is probably some of the most amazing level design feats ever

I never felt too strongly about the interconnectedness. It's kinda neat, but it's always been a minor thing for me. It's also not super unique or anything — very similar to Metroid/Castlevania in structure.

It's unique when it is pulled off well. Very few games even in the Metroidvania genre pull it off well and instead just opt for "here's an upgrade behind a powerup you'll get, come back in 5 hours".

You know even when I know a choice doesn't matter in a TT game, the illusion still adds to it. I still ponder on some choices, just in case. Overall it doesn't bother me since at the end of the day it's about telling a story over anything else.

I quite enjoy my interactive TV Shows
Sometimes an illusion is all you need to keep you engaged. I'd expand that to other things like linearity. I sometimes just need the illusion the world is big and open rather then actually being open. It's why say Final Fantasy 7 is seen as open compared to FFX or FFXIII as the world map and visual design of dungeons hide the fact progression is just as linear for the most part.

Trying again. Someone? Anyone?

I've ran across a few games that are minimized by things like google updater that run on a schedule.

Code Veronica HD
This seems like a no-brainer consider they already ported it to MTF for the console HD release few years back.
And it's RE's 20th anniversary year after all.
It would be really neat to have those RE Outbreak games on a modern platform now that online play is actually a real thing too.

Danganronpa 2 in 3 days and Banner Saga 2 the day after, whilst still playing DS3, and studying for uni exams.

Truly there is no greater despair.

If you ever signed up for Who's Gaming Now and did the Greenlight voting stuff you might have a copy of Zombies on a Plane waiting for you. It was probably a couple of years ago.

I am not going to redeem it

So I think I discovered the problem with SR bundle.
As you can see, I own all DLCs, but for some strange reason I can buy the season pass and "unlockable" pack again even if I own all DLCs.
This is a bullshit.
