Sony E3 2016 Press Conference: June 13 at 6 PM PT/ 9PM ET

The thirst for Crash reboot never ceases to amaze me on Gaf.
I love the old games too but why can't people just realise that dude is trapped in Activision's IP basement?

Ain't happening.

All I want is this, I'm sure we will get many amazing reveals and games. However right before the show ends I want them to say something along the lines of "oh yeah just one more thing"

Cuts to small clip of a clicker or something wandering around revealing TLoU2.

ND just released UC4 which pretty much required all hands on deck at the studio.
There's almost zero chance we hear a peep about TLoU 2 when they need to show off UC4 SP DLC first anyway.

Sony Interactive Entertainment E32016 Presentation
+ God of War 4 (premiere) from SIE / SIE Santa Monica
+ New IP (premiere) from SIE / SIE Bend
+ Infamous 4 or Spiderman (premiere) from SIE / Sucker Punch
? Crash Bandicoot Return from SIE / Sanzaru? Big Red Button?
- Gran Turismo Sport (old, meh)
- Dreams (old, but cute and interesting)
- Last Guardian (old, again, yawn)
- Gravity Daze 2 (old, kind of meh)
- Horizon (old, but hmm)
- Detroit Human (old, but we haven't seen gameplay)
- Kill Strain (old, but ok)
- Drawn To Death (old, yuck)
- WiLD (old, but interesting)
- PSVR remixes / GRID (meh)

Ostensible line up from a first-party publishing point of view. Am i missing anything? I would love to see some other AAA first-party premieres and even B scale budget or digital releases.

Goddamn, I had completely forgot about Wild. I really hope we see more of it this year, and it's not too far off.

If they weren't going to do anything with Crash , they would've let the trademark die off like Sega did with shenmue a while ago. They were against putting Crash in PSAS and ND allowing fans to draw him in a 30th anniversary fan art contest but now they have a change in heart and
allowed ND to use him as an U4 Easter egg

New game, remaster, or whatever I'm sure something will happen since his 20th anniversary is coming up. Personally I just want PS one classics so I can share play CTR.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but has Sony ever done the "oh, one more thing..." at E3? Can't remember it, but by the end of their conference it's about 5 in the morning here, so I could be mistaken.

The first Uncharted 4 teaser was released at the same time as the Left Behind announcement, so it is completely possible for ND to come on stage with a teaser for their new project.

So guys. What's the next "holy Trinity"?

Its obvious what the first one is, what are the other two?

Agent and beyond good and evil 2?

Next Red dead game and Chrono trigger 2?

Or maybe I'm thinking too big here and probably some Sony IPs people want to see come back.

Maybe Parrappa 3 and we finally get that Legend of Dragoon sequel revived ever since it was cancelled long ago.

Sony's E3 2016 Holy Trinity of Hype

The Lost IP: Agent
The Remake/Remaster: Demon's Souls
The Long Awaited Sequel: Half Life 3 Crash Bandicoot 4-ever

Just like FF7R and Shenmue 3.

It's funny that after the Holy Trinity (FF7 Remake, TLG, & Shenmue 3) all got announced last year that people want to dismiss a Crash reboot as ridiculous and impossible DESPITE the hints from insiders and teases from Sony themselves. Do they need it spelled out for them?

Anyone got a countdown timer made? I searched a page or two back and found nothing :X

Sony ain't getting Crash back after all these years just to waste the IP by giving it to the Sonic Boom devs...

Who were made up of the people who worked on PS2 era platformers btw.

God of War and Bend studio's game will premier at PSX. Stuff isn't ready yet. Big Horizon demo tho.
Expecting major AAA first party games to be announced at PSX (let alone 2) after the last two years and Shu's comments about how that isn't what the show is about is extremely unlikely.

Sony schedules this perfectly every year. They can watch Microsoft's conference, then they have a few hours to change all their slides, all their information, their development and manufacturing strategies based on what Microsoft does.

Just like a few years ago after the console reveals, right?

Exactly what PS fans want to hear

Now who do we talk hit up to bring Sony's own J IP's to the PS4, Yoshida? ;)

Hoping for a tweet of Gio Corsi with Hideaki Itsuno.

When will people learn not to say this. Spider-Man is in the MCU and Shenmue 3 and FF7 and RE2 remakes are happening. There's nothing about Crash's IP rights that keeps it from happening. A new one is certainly possible, and Sony has been teasing like mad.

Remember that they have to save something for Gamescom or Paris and PSX (if there's another). Also What Remains of Edith Finch and, Tomorrow Children (remember that one?).

Medievil, Tomba, and Jumping Flash please.

You wouldn't get something like that until after E3 as it would hint at something. I'd think they're being careful to only post pictures with devs who are making confirmed games as so far they've posted pics of Suzuki, Suda, and Oda.

They'd need more time than that since the slides are finalized well in advance, but fortunately while developing the PS4Neo they accidentally invented a time machine so they can go back in time to change the slides, manufacturing process and everything.

Exactly. Just the same when they quickly developed the Neo after reading how Spencer talked about incremental consoles.

Mark Cerny can conjure a new, more powerful Neo design in minutes based on the morning reveal of Scorpio.

Mr. Mosquito, Seaman and Gregory Horror Show

in VR, please

Yeah you're right, i will replace Half Life with Seaman.

Seriously tho, a new Seaman would work in this day and age. All those weird games like I am Bread and Goat Simulator are out there and Seaman would fall in the same category as those. Same with Mr. Mosquito, no idea what that last game though to be honest.

But that's something for a different thread, has nothing to do with E3 or Sonys conference lol.

Here's something that would be a "Dreams 2.0" moment for me:

Crash Returns announced, screen goes black. Crash runs through the screen from left to right, camera zooms over to the right and you see Crash having a brawl with Ratchet, Sly and Sackboy.
Playstation All-Stars 2 announced, staight up sequel to the first game.
Yeah, it's nice to have dreams.
What's with the lack of love for Jak & Daxter? The true brothers of Crash.

Announce a Crash Bandicoot revival and bring back Jak & Daxter too please.
