I think you hit the nail on the head. I was really hoping it was an alternate WW1 history take on Battlefield at the very least and the fact that they've gone back in time, upped the grittiness and barely tweaked the formula might be why I'm not feeling it.
Ever since the first Mirror's Edge, I've been waiting for DICE to incorporate some first person parkour into their Battlefield games. I was okay with BF3 and BF4 being a refinement of the formula but I was hoping they gave BF1 a significant mixup. I guess I expected too much. Oh well, at least I am justifying EA's decision release both TitanFall 2 and BF1 this fall. They'll get my money somehow.

The youtube stream is more stable for me, so I just hide the chat. I can't imagine it being worse than twitch chat though, that's crazy.

These newer IGN guys are alright, Podcast Beyond 2.0 is underrated.
He retweets a lot of GB tweets. Seems like he's a strange GB fan that was talking shit about EA and everyone took it as a shot at GB so he deleted the tweet. Or maybe not.

I thought Max was alright when he was at Rev3 with Adam Sessler. Hadn't seen any of his stuff at IGN but if it's all like this then yeah, I'm not a fan.
Even if it turns out terrible I need to see it and I'm not even a big movie guy. I loved the first Independence Day.
