Death Stranding Announced: A Kojima Productions Game

The memes and reaction .gifs that are showing up are amazing, aaaaaaaah.

Kojima should really stop with his obsession with Hollywood and actors. It looks interesting for sure, but I don't want a silent character because it's expensive to have a proper voice over.

You'll get nothing but Norman Reedus crying in both your Walking Dead and Death Stranding, and you'll like it.

I think I understood which feelings Kojima wanted to pass on with this trailer. Full of Konami and his past creation references.

1 - The footprints are set on the ground and then erased. Like all the efforts Kojima offered to Konami.

2 - Reedus is naked, representing the shame Kojima was exposed to in his last days working for Konami.

3 - The broken shackles are the bound between him and the company being destroyed.

4 - The baby represents his suddenly lost creation (Metal Gear), and Reedus cries of pain and sorrow depicting Kojima's suffering.

5 - The hand marks on the body and the ink in Reedus depicts the weight of having a great successful game series on his name.

6 - The swamps shows that will be a dire path to establish another blockbuster.

7 - The crabs are other developers that never made such greatness as his.

Somewhat I felt soul connected to Kojima. It was strange.

You had me up until 5.

lol Norman Reedus just posted this.

Amazing

I just want to say the trailer reminds me a lot of the end of Evangelion. Can anyone more knowledgeable tell me if this is a Japanese thing? The whole 'god' motif, end of the world and a beach.

This is beautiful.

Kojima trailer, fetus puns, sexy man-mother, mindfuck analyses, and a shit ton of players who don't give a fuck ready for day one just because.

Really loved the trailer. My body is ready
for a ghost baby sacrifice.

Whatever it is, it will be weird and wonderful and awkward for all involved. We need more genius madmen just running amok and giving birth to enigmas because why the fuck not?

What a time to be ripped from ripped bowels into life upon the sands of a mysterious and edgy shore beyond which lateness/greatness awaits. All in, friends. All in.

E3 highlight for sure.

Wow... Quite disturbing...in a good way?

Maybe it's because I have a 1.5y-o now, but anything with babies in these days gets me right in the bizarro feels.

Really glad that Norm and Koji are still working alongside. I'm sure they have a super passionate team with them as well. This title could be very interesting.

Now this is what E3 is all about!

Xbox making those videogames as the year 2000 knows them.. More gears, more halo, more bullshit. Snooze. Sony didn't exactly move me with more god of war and heavenly sword, I mean, horizons, but Resident Evil has my full attention, this naked Norman Reedus game, and I guess insomniac's Spider-Man will undoubtedly be sick.

Pretty snoozey overall though. VR is 400 bucks? Did you see all those novelty "games".. Xbox is moving ahead with a whole new console next year? What the heck. Xbox One was a bust.

All that's left is or Nintendo to stream Zelda for 10 hours, or whatever they plan on doing that I'm not sure I'll be bothered to check into.

Sucks at poetry
Someone on Twitter just tweeted

"Norman Reedus and his child, Norman Feetus"

I'm fuckin dying

(goddamnit, so late, lol)

Hell of a teaser. Surreal and eye catching, vintage Kojima. The name Death Stranding doesn't exactly pop but I'll get used to it. Now to wait while they make it.

Only Kojima could make something so incoherent, unknown, and damn bizarre and have me hyped as hell for it lol....

Also note the white whale - Moby Dick, and all the tie-ins that has with MGSV.

Really cool how they got the PlayStation boss to introduce him and give Kojima a rockstar entrance. He deserves it after Konami disrespected him.

almost positively certain this has something to do with p.t.

The short segments of deep voice in the song and the mic sound in the beginning eerily similar to when the silent hills trailer starts "dad was such a drag"

edit: ehh...maybe not.
