US PSN: Best of E3 Sale + Spend $100 Get $15 Back Promotion

I already own Darksiders 2 on Wii U, but I still haven't gotten around to playing it. Any word on if the PS4 version is better and worth playing over the Wii U version? I mean, I understand that the PS4 is clearly a more powerful console, but did they make a good port?

How is Injustice for 2 people to play together? I want to get a fighting game and we like DC heroes, just don't want to spend alot because we really won't play that much on any game.

Well bought ESO, and pre-ordered No Mans Sky which I was going to anyhow.

Hopefully ESO and some OW can tie me over until NMS.

It's a fighting game, and a pretty good one. If you never played it, and like DC heroes, I think it'd be right up your alley then. I only dislike it when playing against AI because it seems cheap sometimes.

Nothing really on this sale that interests me that I haven't purchased already.
But I did decide to take advantage of a $15/100 deal - twice! On both US and Canadian accounts.
Figured, I'm going to buy those games anyway, but I can get some cash back and also get them out of the way, who knows how much money I'll have in December or in 2017.

Heads up on Resident Evil 7 - it's only $70 on the Canadian store, so already a 12% discount from the usual price (15% in my case due to currency conversions).

Also preordered South Park - that one was not in my day one plans, but the free TSOT sealed the deal.

I'll wait to see if there is a flash sale tomorrow, still hoping gor a Heavy Rain discount. If not, then No Man's Sky or Watch Dogs to complete the deal.

Community is still really strong and because it's such an unique game I believe the community is going to last especially because every DLC map is free for everyone.

Rainbow Six Siege is still quite different but the pacing is more similar to TLOU multiplayer than COD/BF etc. If you like tactical gameplay, slow and methodical pacing and can wait for some minutes if you die at the start of a round, then go for it. If you don't, then forget about it or wait until it's cheaper.

okay, awesome. yeah, i play survivor mode [1 death per round] and come from socom/cs background, so I'm used to having to wait if i die. game sounds perfect for me.

Has Darksiders 2 been patched at all on PS4? Doesn't the XB1 version have 2-3 patches? I heard it crashes a lot in the combat trial on top of having rough performance. I really want to play it again, but not if it's a sloppy port job.

How is inFamous:SS? I loved the first 2, but heard a ton of mixed things on this one. $12 should be worth it right?

Has the Watch Dogs story DLC ever been on sale on its own? Seems like the base game and the gold edition are discounted every other month, but I don't think I've ever seen Bad Blood (?) on sale before.

Does Shadows of Mordor live up to all the hype it was given? Might have to pick the GoTY edition.
It's worth it for $9. It does get repetitive and I do wish they had a harder difficulty option, but it was my first PS4 game and I enjoyed it a lot. Never played the DLC though.

great game, & a steal at that price. really loved it (& first light)...
Thanks, I'll give it a shot!

This really bums me out :/

If you loved the first two then I would stay away. It is caca poop dogshit. I wrote a blog post a few years ago detailing why I hated it over on Giant Bomb if you are interested in the details but the short version is that it felt like a rushed game that is missing a lot of the things that made the first two games so fantastic. There is more fun to be had with First Light which is only $3 more. The combat arena is a lot of fun to dick around in and it is easy to lose hours to it.

I really enjoyed my time with it. The Nemesis system made for some of the coolest gaming experiences I've ever had. Orcs will converse about things you've done and leaders will call you out about past battles if you fight them again. I got the platinum playing consecutive days, which I usually never do. I didn't mind the difficulty, it makes you feel like the Orc slaying badass you're supposed to be.

Thanks for the response and for the link to your review. It's a shame because I have loved every Sucker Punch game that I played (can they port that Sly collection to PS4? Please?), hopefully we'll get something great from them soon.

I wouldnt put all your faith in that post. I loved the first 3 games on PS3 and Second Son was good but in a different way. Where as the PS3 games were more comic book style, I:SS is more HBO miniseries style. The plot is decent, characters are alright, traversal is top-tier, and the combat is fun. Definitely worth the asking price, at least imo.

Put me in the pro-inFamous Second Son camp. Its not as good as 2, but its better than 1.
The biggest problem the game has is lack of content, It doesnt have as much to do as 2, but for $12 youll definitely get your money's worth. Its a very good game.

So I bought Batman Premium Edition but I only see the base game + PS4 exclusive DLC in my download list, there is no season pass listed.

I'm not going to buy a PS4 until payday so I can't check. Anyone who bought the Premium Edition can verify that the season pass comes with it? Note, I'm talking about seeing my download list on the Web store, I should log into my SIE account online to see it I guess to confirm.

It did take awhile for my TLOUR to show up on the web store.

I really liked Infamous SS. Don't get the hate.

Yeah, its certainly not a bad game. Not great either. I felt it was a little too long and repetitive. And the open world felt a little lifeless.

But other thank those things, it looks great, plays pretty great (especially when you get all the powers and learn how to use them well) and has a good enough story to keep you going.

PSN down for anyone else? Get an error when accessing the store, says it down for maintenance. Then when i go to the website on PC it's down as well.,

The server status on their page says everything is up and running.

Says the site isn't available on my phone.
I was on there maybe half an hour ago. I guess it just happened.

Trying to decide between Battlefield 4 and Battlefield: Hardline. I'm only interested in single player. Loved BF3's campaign, but never got around to these. Which should I go for, or should I just get both?

If you're getting one get BF4. Hardline is...not good IMO.

Have everything I want that is already out so picked up South Park and Dishonored 2 - considering I never played Stick of Truth or Dishonored 1 I feel I got a pretty good deal of 4 games for $99. ($15 back plus I buy my PSN cards at a 5% discount plus zero sales tax on digital purchases)

did they ever fix the save problem (saves were disappering or getting lost or whatever shortly after launch) with the single player campaign? i haven't checked in on it in years. i would like to buy it for single player only as well.

I actually just platinumed BF4 last week, had no issues in my playthrough (except one bug where i got the collectable trophies after only getting like 2/3 of the collecatables)

Definitely wouldnt recommend it if youre looking for campaign tho, its too easy even on hard, characters and plot are severely pedestrian and even the set pieces are nowhere near as good as BF3.

I always end up not finishing BF single player due to the online... but the solo campaign seemed alright. Hardline is interesting because it's more focused on non-lethal takedowns and then investigating areas for clues, very different than your standard fps.

I'd just get both. I'm rebuying Hardline myself [already own BF4 digital] since i never got around to finishing it.

thanks for the heads up. one of my guilty pleasures is playing shooter campaigns and never touching the multi. used to buy them day one and never play online so i've just started waiting until i can get them dirt cheap. but i will say, call of duty may be the first one i have purchased in years on day one just because SPACE and the remaster mw. it was the only one i tried to play online for a while. mag was always my jam.

It took em' goddamn long enough but Battlefield 4 is in a pretty fixed and playable state all around.
