When you use imprecise language to describe any controversial statement you immediately open that statement, and as a result all others, up to unnecessary scrutiny. When changing one or two words can convey the same message and actually make the statement accurate it shouldn't be a huge ask.

When Michael Moore said he thought Trump was going to win, he didn't say it was because of a huge swath of klansmen just waiting for Trump to come along. He (and Joy) are talking about displaced coal miners, steelworkers, factory workers.
