I like the changes they're making for multiplayer/competitive. If they're making getting a set of theoretically EV/IV trained Pokemon as simple as scanning a QR code I wonder if we'll soon see the in-game process of recreating that build even faster. Forget IV's and natures, if EV's take more than a few minutes I'm not interested.

The ORAS demo was only 250mb and that had the whole game in it so...
The Oras demo was smaller than this and when it was datamined we got literally everything.
It's like some data shenanigans or something.
Well at least Brionne wont be found in the forsest, for some much needed killer clown diversity

Game counterparts or references to originally anime-exclusive characters are nothing new even before Alain. Characters like A.J., Butler, and Lizabeth have also appeared as "random" NPCs in the games. But that is essentially adapting anime characters in the game world through little tongue-in-cheek references. Ash is already Red's counterpart, so it would be quite odd to making him distinct from Red.
More importantly, this is more than a little vague reference. I'm really curious to see how it plays out.

Dartix looks great for a middle evo.
Torracat looks...like a bigger cat in my eyes.
Brionne means we're one step closer to the leaked final evos and thus I'm sticking with Popplio.

Triple battles were awesome. The Festive Feud battle spot competition was the most fun I had with ORAS
True, it is weird but it just seems like it's a dirty fighter. If it becomes Fire/Fighting then ah well i'll love it but there will be complaints forever lol. If the demo really can be datamined then hopefully we get it confirmed.

I can just imagine the episode where Ash's Dartrix evolves.
Some big mean bully Pokemon are picking on some innocent baby Pokemon. Dartrix joins in on the bullying, until one of the big bad Pokemon makes an Igglybuff cry. At that point, Dartrix realizes he's been a big jerk this entire time. He tries standing up to the bullies, but they're too big and just swat him out of the way. With his sense of justice rising, he evolves. He then stalks the bullies to their hideout though the trees, which is packed with stolen food. He defeats the bullies, at night. The next day, the shot starts with the baby Pokemon waking up, and being shocked there's a big pile of food right next to them. The owl is up in the tree tops, watching them. He then returns to the group, which have no idea where he's been since he took off the other day after he evolved.
The rest of the series, he acts as a protector to the group

It is. I suppose I mean the impact it'll have. Rowlet has more options available upfront than Litten or Popplio, which will have to wait till their final evolutions. But also, Popplio will have to contend with the numerous other Water-type Pokemon. If it was dual-type, you could probably justify having it and another dual-type Water Pokemon on your team at the same time.
This is completely ignoring things like Captains and island Trials, and even base stats, to determine the 'difficulty' (so to speak). Just a lot of speculation, really.

alolan vulpix would be the obvious one, but I wouldn't mind an eevee retcon. stones are much more convenient than wild battling in a specific spot

Nah it'd never work for glaceon if leafeon not evolving by a leaf stone is any indication lol. Unless GF retcons of course.
I've never found grass useful, especially not in the beginning. Way worse than water. The flying type helps against early bugs but water is still the more well-rounded type. I also find water to be the most solid (haha) foundation for a team.
Maybe I just feel Rowlet is a bad choice because I love Oricorio and already decided I just neeeed a Sensu Style one on my team.
Lovelovelove the way Popplio is going. Not a fan of the first one but the evo is adorable and if the leak is correct the final stage will probably be a new fav starter.
Because the leaf stone was introduced in Gen 1. It wouldn't make sense if Leafeon evolved from it since it wasn't created until Gen 4.

Lickitung learns rollout in Gen II, but doesn't evolve via that method until Gen IV.
