Hoping for a larger snowy, mountainous area. The Revenant got me craving it so bad.
Gross, The Revenant was awful. Sooooooo boring.

I'll post again what I posted 2 years ago in a thread about the next Rockstar game, here's what it should be or could be, I think it would be cool:
Red Dead R???? ( Reunion? Revengeance? Retribution? )
3 characters
A badass lonesome cow boy original 1966 Django style, and a native American, both on a revenge mission against the same group of guys, separately at first.
A crazy and reckless female bounty hunter, looking for them and following the blood and chaos they leave behind them.
Do it Rockstar!
It's not even an announcement. It's just a picture of a logo.
Yeah, but they have a template now to follow, rather than building something from scratch, and new/better techDamn excited! Red Dead Redemption is one of my favorite games of all time.
I hope that they don't need the Benzies though. Because he seemed to have played a big role in putting the last game in order.
Well that was cringey.
Agreed but that's not at all what he's talking about. He's talking about the environments, which were beautiful.Gross, The Revenant was awful. Sooooooo boring.
A bag of puppies will be kicked now because of you. FU
lol

As much as I'd like that I don't see Rockstar having a male Native American and a female as leads. Not without at least one white male. There's too much money at stake for them to executives letting them do that.I'd like two mains instead of three to keep the story concise and allow for plenty of tension.
20 something year old barn girl who's parents were killed by Native American retaliation. Rockstar's first female lead.
And a young son of a Chief of a different tribe. Would allow for interesting variations of missions and a tense story.

I don't see why not. Anything With the Red Dead name will sellAs much as I'd like that I don't see Rockstar having a male Native American and a female as leads. Not without at least one white male. There's too much money at stake for them to executives letting them do that.
Does anyone else hope that the map that was leaked earlier this year was a fake?
I hope the game takes place on a larger map an earlier time (like pre civil war era). I also hope the world is more of a diverse setting, from your usual deserty like western areas to some more mountainous areas like you'd see in say, The Last of the Mohicans movie for instance.
That also reminds me, if there's a Native American, plzzzz give us rifle war clubs!

The last thing I want is a retread of the first game's storyI want a hispanic lead. Think something like Benicio Del Torro's character from Sicario out to get his former posse who tried to kill him.

Is the first game worth playing? Does it still hold up.
depends which first game you're talking about
(Obviously you're talking about Redemption, and it is 110% worth playing)
No, I'm talking about Red Dead Revolver.
Oh I was talking about Redemption. Revolver is so different from Redemption that I never think of it as the first gameIs the first game worth playing? Does it still hold up?
No, I'm talking about Red Dead Revolver.
Multiplayer focused I presume, but I'm stoked either way.
I thought RDR would start a wave of new western games but we really didn't get any besides the Call of Juarez games. I guess RDR did it so well that anything else would come off as a weak imitation. I'd love an open world supernatural west game; Hard West is the closest we've gotten to thatI legitimately think Red Dead Redemption is the best game of the last generation and the only Rockstar game I've ever finished (I've gotten bored with every GTA game before finishing it). I'm super hopeful that we get an announcement sometime this week.
So, YongYea thinks it could be called Red Dead Retribution. It's mentioned in the site links. Here, check this video.

You could argue Nintendo could do the same. Say Tuesday they make their logo black and white and this site would crash.I think it's pretty crazy that Rockstar as a company is so powerful that they can change the color of a logo and the internet loses their minds, they are also 2 of the trending topics on Twitter. What a crazy company.
That website source code thing was fake
It's gonna happen sooner or later.wat?
It's gonna happen sooner or later.
Or what specifically was unclear?
In three days, GTA V made over a billion in revenue. That's like Star Wars/Avengers-tier. To be fair, a movie ticket is like $10-12 and a game is $60, but still $800 million in a day is insane. GTA and Rockstar's stuff in general is huge for any medium and industry.I think it's pretty crazy that Rockstar as a company is so powerful that they can change the color of a logo and the internet loses their minds, they are also 2 of the trending topics on Twitter. Really hope this isn't multiplayer-focused. Although there was a vetted insider who made a thread last year about it having heavy multiplayer elements.
