Yeah, but they have a template now to follow, rather than building something from scratch, and new/better tech

I'd like two mains instead of three to keep the story concise and allow for plenty of tension.

20 something year old barn girl who's parents were killed by Native American retaliation. Rockstar's first female lead.

And a young son of a Chief of a different tribe. Would allow for interesting variations of missions and a tense story.

I think rdr was a really special game. One of my favorite games of all time. Maybe it is because there are so few quality western themed games or it was just that good all I know is that I loved it.

As much as I'd like that I don't see Rockstar having a male Native American and a female as leads. Not without at least one white male. There's too much money at stake for them to executives letting them do that.

Unless you go with both with a half white and half native American but then you just get Red Harlowe again.

And yet Watch Dogs 2 and Mafia has Black male leads this year. Red Dead Redemption will sell regardless due to the brand power of it's title and developer.

San Andreas? Ballad of Gay Tony? Rockstar is very diverse outside of female leads which I expect we get this time around. Hell GTA IV starred an illegal Serbian immigrant, The Lost and the Damned had a Jewish biker, and GTA V's most developed character was Franklin IMO.

Hopefully it's a proper announcement not just a tease. Tomorrow we might know more.

I hope for a Redemption Remaster out in late November. A sequel announcement out in late November next year and a collectors Edition announcement.

Outside chance of preordering the sequel and get the Redemption Remaster for free similar to South Park.

I could actually see them revealing the next game late this month and drop the bomb at the end that the remaster is coming end of November or early December.

I legitimately think Red Dead Redemption is the best game of the last generation and the only Rockstar game I've ever finished (I've gotten bored with every GTA game before finishing it). I'm super hopeful that we get an announcement sometime this week.

I thought RDR would start a wave of new western games but we really didn't get any besides the Call of Juarez games. I guess RDR did it so well that anything else would come off as a weak imitation. I'd love an open world supernatural west game; Hard West is the closest we've gotten to that

I think it's pretty crazy that Rockstar as a company is so powerful that they can change the color of a logo and the internet loses their minds, they are also 2 of the trending topics on Twitter. What a crazy company.

You could argue Nintendo could do the same. Say Tuesday they make their logo black and white and this site would crash.

I just want rockstar to take things further. Announce a date only for a new game to come out. Nothing more. Whatever it is will sell millions.

In three days, GTA V made over a billion in revenue. That's like Star Wars/Avengers-tier. To be fair, a movie ticket is like $10-12 and a game is $60, but still $800 million in a day is insane. GTA and Rockstar's stuff in general is huge for any medium and industry.

Really hope this isn't multiplayer-focused. Although there was a vetted insider who made a thread last year about it having heavy multiplayer elements.
