I wonder if it will have a first person mode. For some reason gunplay in third person games make me feel anxious and claustrophobic. I thought it was pretty well implemented in GTA V.

Man its crazy how well Redemption holds up. That still looks beautiful imo. Sure its not technically up to current generation standards but the atmosphere and art are just so spot on.
The next Red Dead is going to look phenomenal isn't it?

We probably won't get any kind of update until possibly tomorrow. I don't think we'll get the trailer then, but maybe an announcement for when the official reveal will be (Sunday with The Walking Dead is where I'm leaning)

Game still look beautiful to me but yeah, I can't wait to see what San Diego does with the engine fully kitted out for current gen and boosted by Pro and Scorpio.
That said it still seems to me that they toned down Euphoria from RDR to GTAV. Playing RDR on 360 earlier this year and the physics and animation still blew me away.

I didn't say it was, I was just saying I hoped it was fake so they could have more diversity in the map design in terms of the biomes of the world and size.
The leaked map put the setting all to the east of the RDR world, it already felt like it was set in the south/south east, so having the new map be entirely set in the far east of the RDR world yet still having deserts and other things would just not feel right in terms of the environment.
It'd be like if they made a video game set partly in TX/Louisana and then made a new one and set it to the east of that and then had lands like California/Dakota.

It will likely be at the exact same time if they go that route. Major media do it all the time, even games. COD has debuted trailers during sporting events iirc

This game is so nostalgic for me. GTA V was a stepping stone to greatness as far as I'm concerned.

Just speculation based on them putting up this teaser on a Sunday and how they had a week countdown for GTAV that if they did the same thing then the trailer could go up next Sunday. What's a big event happening next Sunday? The Walking Dead series premiere that has a huge audience and various movie studios and game publishers have advertised with the show before.
Again nothing concrete or confirmed but something that likely could happen.

Yeah last seasons Walking Dead finale did an enormous 18.4 million viewers. If you want to advertise a major product that's a hell of a lot of eyeballs you would love to have see your product. That coupled with the Sunday teaser they put up today is what's making me think it'll debut then. But who knows!
