You know, now that I think about it, has there ever been an open world game with a playable female character? I'm blanking on it
Mirror's Edge 2?

what's with you and mentioning how old you're gonna be? i'll be 31 by then so what?Argh!!! Red Dead Redemption 2!!!!!!!!
Fall 2017 though, fuck I'll be turning 27 by then...I don't wanna be fuckin turning 27.
The first thing I noticed though: It's Red Dead Redemption 2, instead of Red Dead R_. So this is a direct sequel then that's canon to the second game?
Holy crap, dude. Are you seriously suggesting that?
better work on your analytics because they must be broken if you don't believe this sells at least 8m to 10m before even coming to pc. The install base is there, the hype has been there waiting and shows like Westworld will only help.Boring choice of title and guess a PC-version will come eventually. I unfortunately do not think Rockstar can repeat the success with RDR, but hope for the best.
An epic tale of life in Americas unforgiving heartland, the game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

Mirror's Edge 2?
Assassins Creed.
So what can we get from the picture? Is this supposed to be John Marston? I can't the remember the story and chars of RDR1 at all
Is this a sequel or prequel from the looks of the chars?
You know damn well why.
Its 2016 (or 2017 when this comes out). Women are more than half of the population and make up more than 40% of gamers. There are numerous historical women outlaws and gunfighters.
Zero excuse at all.

Oh for god's sake just choose your games accordingly if race and gender is such an issue to you. You have a black protagonist for Mafia 3, asias dudes for Sleeping Dogs and Yakuza, a teenage white girl for Life is Strange, an half black half white woman in Remember Me... all of which (bar Mafia which I haven't played yet) I have enjoyed A LOT, despite being a white male. Why is that such an issue I'll NEVER understand
Where da white women at?
No, seriously. I recall Bonnie used in promotional material for RDR. I would've bet anything that at least one of these silhouettes was female. :/
I am going to say this again, after this many years:
Red Dead Redemption > Mass Effect 2
i know that and i didn't say they would sell another version. i said they will release the game on PS4, which will also run on a PS4 Pro, but they don't need to use the full power of the PS4 Pro. the game would look exactly the same on both consoles. at a later date they would update the game free of charge so that the game will have improved performance/graphics thanks to the additional power the PS4 pro offers.
so ps4/xb1 in 2017. updates to both consoles + pc version with better visuals/performance.
How the fuck did I not clock that one, that's my favorite franchise
Are we still agreeing it's a prequel?
Because that dude sure looks like Bill Williamson to me
What the...

Trust GAF to have a thread full of disappointment.
Cgi trailer..or gameplay trailer
Just remember how it worked for GTA V PC and you'll be fine. You'll get it, just a bit after.
That looks exactly like Bill Williamson. Am I wrong?
I just don't think the cast looks interesting. At a glance it's all grizzly bearded white dudes. A female character isn't the only thing they can add to liven it up but it'd definitely be a positive.

Wrong. Women still made up 50%~ of the population.
7 Female Outlaws You Never Heard About In History Class, But Who Seriously Lived It Up In The Wild West
But again, it's Rockstar. Considering they show disdain and apathy towards the real humans that make their games it's unsurprising to me that they don't give a shit about their power for change as an industry leader.

You mean spring 2018.
