If it is real, the back is curiously thick or that is "dock" and its docks rather differently than any of expected. The screen itself is sleek though the bezel is a bit large?

If it's real then it's likely the devkit, as the post in the picture states. So the final product can look substantially different. And it could definitely be a real devkit, nothing looks terribly outlandish.

Proprietary Nintendo connectors for power and gamepad and connectors for external WLAN antennas, which is pretty common for devkits (as is the ethernet port). Doesn't look outlandish, doesn't really tell us much - I'd say it's real.

If they've gone as far as custom moulding a case, then it would make sense that it's a relatively final dev kit. Which means that if it's actively cooled, the final product probably is too...

To be honest I'm leaning towards it being real. It's a boring black box with a screen and all the ports you'd expect. Seems like a dev kit to me.

Looks pretty convincing. Wii/nes mini port is weird but not impossible and maybe devkit only. Recessed hdmi port looks a bit odd but eh.

The tablet handheld itself wasn't the issue. It's how they executed it. Essentially what you have now with the NX presumably is a console you can play at home and then take on the go in your pocket. You couldn't do that with the Wii U obviously.

If the image is of a real devkit I dont understand why the picture looks like an Promotional Photo made to make it look "good." Why would they make a professional photo for a dev kit? Every picture of devkits from past consoles are of the actual devkit itself in the real world environment, sometimes in someones hand or on a desk or something. I have yet to see one made up to look like an advertising photo.

I expect little too but it's going to be a sizzle reel not a talkfest. They'll show glimpses of the system/controller, gaming, & players playing.
