No, he's not. Most people who aren't interested left these threads ages ago. I myself took a hiatus of about a month and a half, came back for the imminent announcement.
A hybrid would be fine, but what's been discussed thus far in rumours doesn't interest me.
It's a handheld with a TV out, no amount of marketing will say otherwise when the hardware it'll be equipped with will back up that statement, unless its capabilities have been somehow undersold.

it will be a collage of classic Nintendo leading up to current Nintendo. Few slides of the NX, lots of Zelda and a hint at a new mario.

Hearing this news made me super happy. Whatever they show tomorrow, we will get at least some information. Nintendo fans will no longer have to wait in the dark. I'm excited.

Mm I don't necessarily think this'll be a tease. Just a picture, a official name, and maybe footage of some games is really all my expectations are set at. Nintendo won't have come out of the closet with this unless they thought they were ready anyway.reading through these comments here... smh.

There will definitely be some PR talking about its hardware. But I doubt they'll start talking about memory clock rates or anything that low-level.

It's the preview to the actual event where games will be shown and playable to the press.
I think everyone should keep expectations very low here. You'll get a look at what the system looks like, and what it can do/what the gimmick is. I wouldn't expect software outside of Zelda, or some minigame thing. Three minutes is nothing.
Spec sheet that says "you'll say WOW!" wouldn't be amiss
I'm not sure this is a good strategy, showing just a teaser practically, but maybe it will be followed up by more info. Also, again, what's up with tweeting in the middle of the night in Europe? And right on the edge of the presidential debate? Seems like the worst time possible.
Rumors be true from Laura K, we'll see a spec sheet before month end, or did I read that wrong?

People complaining about the 3 minutes? It's just a preview and Emily said we're getting news this week AND next week. Yes, the investors meeting is next week, but they could also do the full reveal next week.

Awesome reference is awesome.
Anyhow, as someone who bought every single piece of hardware the house of Kyoto ever put on the market from the Game&Watch gen onwards (Virtual Boy? Check. Game Boy Player for GC? Have 2 of them) I know I will order whatever they show today even if they they tell me is a 299 toaster that burns Yoshi's face on my morning bread).

Yeah, well I admit there must've been something done wrong when even big time video game enthusiasts weren't sure what that video was supposed to sell.
But I always wondered how can people not understand it. From what I remember it was clear as day that we were going to watch a video about their new console. Like, Reggie literally said it was "the controller for Wii U" when they first showed the picture of the controller. And before that they said Wii U is their new system.
I could maybe understand if it's about people who only saw that trailer and not the conference, but even people who saw the conference were confused.
And that Zelda HD video did nothing to me. What was in that Zelda video that actually showed that hey this is a good game? All it did was Link bumping into a monster and fighting it (and showing some inventory possibilities with the Gamepad). Yeah, it was shiny and all, but that doesn't make anything good in itself.
The Wii U trailer however showed many concrete things that you can do with the system. Many concrete things you could be able to play.
But yeah, there must've been something wrong with the presentation, I admit. And the name was clearly a mistake too, even though it didn't confuse me either. But I remember my sister wondering why I got that as a Christmas present from my girlfriend as "didn't you already have a Wii" :/
Oh well, I'm glad I'm not working for Nintendo because I couldn't see the problem either and somebody should've

It's finally happening! Man they got some much wrong with the Wii U. Here's hoping Nintendo turns it around with NX.
Dang, and now 10 years later we have VR headsets that come with remotes based on it. gg, Iwata.
