Add another one for the Eagle Flight good impressions, the controls are so good to the point you feel like you can do anything. I would say that even though it does have collectofons it at least tries to justify it
you collect feathers for your nest and fish for food
.

VEV I'm sorry Modus but I don't like it, I felt like I was just wondering around aimlessly and on the levels I tried it wasn't too hard to avoid danger. I will try it again though.

Just wondering about Battlezone, I picked up the US disc version, but notice that there will be free DLC for it, I assume I will need to purchase this using my US account, assuming it's not just patched in to the game. With that in mind, do you think that will mean the DLC will not be available to my main (UK) account?

Fuck... VEV is hard. I played the tutorial level and then moved onto Fresh Water, and I could barely find any particles to collect before I ran out of juice. I tried it multiple times and couldn't get more than 150 or so before hitting 0. I wasn't really having any fun either. I mean the concept is cool and the graphics/VR look slick, but is it not tickling my fancy whatsoever.

I guess on the bright side, it was only five bucks. Sorry, m0dus. :(

I think Fresh water is a poor intro level because the particles are so rare there. Try Soil sample, you live allot longer than blood/CSF and the particles are much more common if you go to the areas where they are typically found (cave/crevices and pollen).

I'm so undecided about Robinson. I know 60€ are too much but I still want to try it out.

I think you'd be better off importing a physical copy from the US at that kind of pricing, sheesh. It's $40 in US or $32 if pre-ordered from Amazon/bought at BB. I'd imagine it will drop quickly in value on Ebay since the game doesn't seem that replayable.

DLC is region locked but it will work on your UK account as long as your PS4 is set as the primary.

I'm not sure why Driveclub is causing so much trouble for people when racing games on PC (assuming they run well) don't seem to be causing as much of a problem.
Driving games still have to jump through a number of hoops to make locomotion feel better - just sticking you inside a cockpit does not work very well by itself.

I've only tried PCars on PC, and that did not work any better than DC (which is to say, uncomfortable). I've recently played the GT demo which does fare better, but it's still not without discomfort - I can see it can still be rough for people that are susceptible to it.

To all the "Eagle Flight or ...?" questions: One aspect might be if you're looking for software to impress VR or gaming novices with. If that's the case I would go for EF against most other VR games. It's instantly impressive and doesn't need any explanations while other games might be more abstract or complicated. You have to decide which game is ultimately better for you at this moment, but at least in the "showpiece for others" aspect I'm confident in recommending Eagle Flight.

Any chance of them making the comfort settings on Eagle Flight a toggle? Stuff like that makes me lean away from wanting to take the plunge

Yeah, I don't understand this. Options are always good. They could always pop up a warning when you enable it if they're worried.

Remember the slow movement is a comfort measure you must toggle off when you're ready :) . It's a challenge by design, but once it clicks for you, the game will open up substantially.
The first thing I did was put fast turning on, my main problem is getting lost feel like I need a map. I'll stick with it though.

I can't deal with games that make you use your neck as a joystick. I'm hoping they patch in controller flight controls.

It would be interesting to compare the two control methods. As divisive as head turn controlling may be I think it helps reduce motion sickness.

So I got my review site up and running. It'll be specifically for PSVR.

I've only reviewed Tethered so far. Will try and get Eagle Flight done by tonight (UK time) - but I'll have to play a bit more of it first. :D

PSVR Reviews:
https://psvr-reviews.com/

I won't post the link too often, as self-promotion is annoying at the best of times. I'll aim to get one game reviewed a day, to catch up with the titles already out.

Could you have some kind of rating-system perhaps? Or if the game is great is got a "Somme"-approved medal? :D

Haha yeah I could. Having no actually read reviews for a while I thought people were unimpressed with ratings these days.

I shall add one now.

At work but from what I've read it's great. Will read the rest later.

Good to see more people focus on VR games. I might as well post the PSVR review section for SB in case anyone wants to read more reviews.

Yeah I'm not talking about a 1-100 rating, but just some "Recommended" or "Approved" stuff for games that is great :)

GF watched a semi-famous swedish youtuber/v-blogger couple play PSVR yesterday which actually got her interested in it. Can't wait to get one myself and see her reactions! A bit bummed that's there no official launch bundle in Sweden though. Some stores seem to have a camera+PSVR bundle but no PSVR+Camera+Moves+VR Worlds bundle which feels like a much better deal.

Been thinking about getting a pre-owned one but considering the problems some people have had with their hardware and how intimate the headset is I'm not sure. Might just be better to save-up for a untouched retail one. Glad to see this thread still being so alive and people enjoying their headsets!

I ordered the "Bundle" that some stores have done, PSVR+Camera+Moves. But the god damn move contollers never came in stock so I just said to them to send the PSVR+Camera and bought the Moves used. Still have the Twin Pack on order. I doesn't seem like we will get the official bundle anytime soon with VR Worlds (Was it available in UK for launch).

Great review. Sold me on the game.

Nope UK didn't get any official bundles at all

I had to review eagle flights and that game is tons of fun. I couldn't stop playing yesterday night, didn't feel nauseous, but my neck hurts from turning too violently.

Ah nice catch! That particular bundle seems sold out everywhere atm (I know webhallen had one that's not even listed anymore). Will probably end up getting a PSVR+Camera bundle and look through Blocket and Tradera for some pre-owned Move controllers (really want them for Batman and Rush of Blood). Since we haven't seen the official bundle by now I doubt we'll ever see one. Such a weird way to release it though.

Yeah it is sold out since no one has the move controllers haha. But PSVR+camera should not be a problem to get now. I was in contact with a dude who was selling his move controllers for 350 SEK. So its pretty easy to find those at blocket or Tradera

Despite no option to adjust the comfort settings, Eagle Flight is pretty fun so far and multiplayer was awesome in its simplicity. Had me imagining some sort of online Greek god fighting game where you could fly around huge destructable environments and fling your powers around.... Would be auraically awesome. Eagle Flight is a good start 🙃

Just played two hours of Robinson. The game is so bad because of the incredible sluggish controls. It had so much potential, but those controls just ruin the game...

I'm looking for a charging stand for the PS VR. There are a couple on Amazon that I've seen but I saw one just now that I really like the look and features of. Plus I think it'll look nice on my entertainment stand.

https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Charge-Display-Charging-indication-PlayStation/dp/B01M36DGJN/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1478706535&sr=8-5&keywords=PS+VR+stand

Can anyone give any advice or insight or have any experience with these? I was thinking about going with a case instead but I like the idea of having the move controllers charging and the easy access of just easily grabbing the VR. Having to open up the case and pull it out every time will eventually get old.

Any input would be great. Thanks

Almost impulse bought Robinson until I noticed the $59.99 pricetag. Fucking what?

Yeah with VR I have been generous with what I am willing to buy but this has been added to the "taking the mickey" list along with SuperHyperCube and potentially Eve (the demo is so short and I am not sold on the lack of single player). Battlezone has sort of been taken off the list but partly waiting for Pro tomorrow and partly just don't want a ridiculous backlog

The Eve demo is so short it's almost offensive.

And yeah Super Hyper Cube seems really expensive for what it is, though I have only tried the demo.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
Crytek has to pay their people money!!

Also just watched IGN's video review. They gave it a 5.5 after serious issues with nausea during navigation, control futzery with getting your character to do as you request, and long sequences of very bland traversal. Doesn't sound great.
