Should the "premium" HDMi cable go between the PS4 and the PSVR? PSVR and the TV? Not sure what should go where, or if the PSVR HDMI cable should be used too.

Did anyone else's Download and/or Upload speeds skyrocket going from regular PS4 to the Pro?

I normally have about 100 down on my computer but would max at 25-30 usually on my PS4. I tested when I set up and now I'm close to 90 down. Didn't matter if it was 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Ye. From 25 down to 75 down. Both systems are wired.

I asked this a while ago and couldn't find a response from anybody, so here goes again:

Anybody tried out gaming on a 1440p monitor?

I found an old thread that said it's only officially supported by a couple games, but for unsupported games what's the verdict?

File transfer says it's gonna take 8 hours for 350gb :(
I feel your pain, I'm currently in hour 9 of a 10 hour wait for my Pro to restore data from my OG PS4.

That was 1.3TB though, and the restore was slower than the time it took to back up (~7 hours) - how are you transferring? Via USB external, or ethernet? 8 hours for 350 GB seems slow.

Pro setup and everything transferred. 380 GB took about 2 hours.
So I am currently playing TF2, COD:IW and have TLOU Remastered, Uncharted 4, Infamous.
My TV does not support HDR but it is 4K.
What games do I need to check out to see it in all its glory?
TLOU and UC4?
Currently playing COD:IW and my TV is at 2160, and I see a post above saying it supports the upscaling, and it does look nice and crisp. Just thought there may be some options to choose what I want.

On a side note, this whole thing made me realize I indeed did not have 2 Step enabled. I NO DOUBT signed up for it somewhere, I believe through a browser, and it had my number stored and I have no idea how else it would have if I never set it up, but it said it was Inactive. That has now been rectified.

There's actually some native titles, but yeah you're either getting 4K or increased fps as the baseline.

IW might be the best looking game I've seen so far. I'm blown away by the difference from PS4 to Pro.

Damn :( I'm playing IW on my X1S because i got it for free with it. Looks pretty decent there, can only imagine it on Pro

Great, the HDMI port of my unit is fucked. Tried two different cables and two different inputs on the TV. Same result:

Gonna return it tomorrow. With my luck, they'll be out of Pro consoles by that time.

No, they were I'm afraid.

I think the back vents may not have enough room though. I'm gonna see if that makes a difference.

Still love the thing though!

Definitely enjoying Pro a lot. Maybe the noise has to do with specific games. Anyway.. gonna play more tomorrow and also gonna try a different setup where the pro gets more space

So what's the ideal 4K HDR TV that Canadians can get this year for these new consoles? The Sony X800D series? The Samsung KS8000 is overpriced here. Are next year's 4K HDR TVs supposed to be that much better at similar prices?

I think so? I know they're stored as local captures. I don't think they get uploaded unless you share the trophy.

Yeah I meant to ask if I need to do a complete transfer to retain those, or does it allow you to specify what you want to transfer? Because I don't want to wait for transferring games, I don't mind reinstalling anything I want to replay. I just want some of the cool screen grabs and videos I have on my hard drive.

I have a 4k Monitor (BenQ BL3201PT) which only supports 4k through DisplayPort. Is there any way to get 4k from a PS4 Pro on this?

I'm seeing a lot of DP -> HDMI 2.0 converters, but as far as I know those won't work since they're converting the other way.

Enjoying the Pro a lot, the only annoying thing I've found is the PSVR box not supporting HDR, having to swap the HDMI cables around when I want HDR or VR is a bit of a pain in the ass.

Hopefully Sony find some way around this or bring out an updated VR box or something. Might have to invest in some kind of HDMI spliter box maybe.

VR Worlds looks sharper though, with more graphical effects, the overall image just looks better. I can't wait to play some more VR games now.

So I found out that it is my Sony soundbar HDCP 2.2 input that doesn't do handshake with the PS4pro. Works directly in the tv. It pisses me off.

Is there any setting I have to change in Deus Ex, Dishonored 2, Tomb raider (or any other games that support it really) to get the Pro to render at a higher res and supersample to 1080?
Or is it a setting on the Pro itself?

Does anybody know if any outlets in the UK are offering any trade-in deals? I know GAME are offering the Pro for £175 if you trade in an OG and five games but I don't have any games that I want to get rid of.

There might be a new low budget series that actually got decent HDR unlike the KU6300 for example.

And obviously alot of this years models will be alot cheaper.

inFamous First Light 1.03 just downloaded for me (1.02 was the 4K/HDR patch)

-Bug fixes

Just checked it out. It didn't seem to fix the black crush problem I'm having, that issue is still very much apparent. Only difference I see is that in the options menu is that there is a separate HDR toggle (which does nothing as my TV does not support HDR). Pity, I got my hopes up for a moment!

I asked Amazon.com if I could have the discount off another game other than CoD:IW and they said no. Was worth a shot. The only version I'd want is the LE, and that's only for the remaster.....

Decisions Decisions. With Prime discount and code, the game would be about $49.35 which isn't bad, but, that's $50 I hadn't planned on spending. If I ultimately do not want the code, I will give it to a GAF member.

Quick and dirty question -- in order to see the potential downsampling effects on my 1080p TV, will I need a different HDMI? I'm using the standard one, obviously, not the 4K one.
