This is the cost of Dark Phoenix and I can't say that I mind all that much. Would have been nice having Cable back, but if this is actually being made then I'm interested to say who they put on the roster.

it's a capcom marvel title it's gonna be $60
and capcom probably doesn't have the money or resources (nor the history) to put out a single player like nrs who is known for doing so

You know I really thought I'd just deal with the no X-Men thing, but after reading this my interest for this game has died down massively.

MvC without X-Men is nothing. MCU is full of boring ass characters. All the iconic and interesting playstyles in the MvC games come from mutants.

Well, I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping the gameplay is nothing like Marvel 3. That would be the one saving grace.

Love the X-Men but honestly I don't mind. It will be cool to see some new characters. I just hope the game has some fun modes this time around(both single and multi) and not just bare bones online or else I'll be waiting for a huge price drop.

I do think FOX is doing a shit job with the Xmen rights though. X-Men Apocalypse was not great. Apocalypse looked like a f*cking joke. Like, let's cast a 5ft 9 guy with a big face as one of the most dangerous super villains on earth and paint his face blue and give him chunky blue boots. He looked ridiculous and it spoilt the film for me.

He's never in a million years getting in. The internal development/production teams at Capcom have to approve additions from "their" franchise, and they're never gonna put DmC Dante or Vergil in. Sorry to disappoint. Plus, you know, sales and popularity and all that.

I think the majority of the FGC won't care. Casual fans might, but if Sony is bankrolling it, they just have to get over it like any game.

I have a feeling Marvel isn't going to be, though.

Words can't begin to describe how excited I am! I may be a new fan of the series, started with MvC3, but the amount of time I've put into it is massive. Hopefully they drop the trailer during the keynote on Saturday as I will be attending.

As much as I find it hard to believe that Xmen characters won't be returning, I also don't think it's fair for people to be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

If they pursue a $60 price tag, and only offer the equivalent of modes SFV offered around launch I see this not performing too great in the modern market.

They don't have to offer a huge expansive single player story, but they at the very least need to offer multiple single player optional modes. Also it needs to be remembered that Marvel are being very bullish on their return to the console market and trying to offer big experiences. Its entirely possible Marvel will push for a large-scale title.

Or the inverse, I think the game could work really well on the F2P model.
