Deadpool is an X-Men property. It's Fox. He's probably out, too. I'm guessing War Machine is going to be back from MvC2. Black Widow. Punisher. Daredevil. The Ancient One. Killian Audrich. Lady Siff. Ant-Man. Wasp.

Lack of X-Men and Dr. Doom kind of leaves a hole in that roster.

Not..really? Doom, Ghost Rider, Nova, She Hulk, and Task Master have no real connection to X-Men and continue to play big roles in the comics/TV shows. Also frankly I don't believe the X-Men thing is true, if Contest of Champions can put Wolverine and Magneto front and center on their webpage they can show up in MVC4.

Also just want to clarify for the many, many who don't read the comics (not that I blame you), X-Men are actually getting a huge push back into the spotlight early next year with the RessurXion event which is like 6 new series of books.

Fox doesn't own the characters. They only own the movie rights to them which Marvel wants back. Since Fox doesn't want that to happen, Marvel is doing everything they can to sabotage the movies and force Fox to sell it back to them. Fox has to keep releasing movies or else the contract becomes void if they don't release a movie every so often. So Marvel is doing aeverything they can to make sure the movies flop.

They are so petty, no buy for me. Having this game without Wolverine shouting berserker barrage will feel empty.

It's not the easiest game to get into and it's always at the the bottom of the list for me and my friends when we play on my arcade cabinet. The idea of a Fox dispute barring characters is entirely (frankly almost non-sensical considering they're used all over the place in all of Marvel's online and mobile games) speculation. This is correct. Inafune okay'd Bad Box Art MM because it was meant to be part of an overarching "gag" that was going to be celebrated in many other MM games that were going to be released around that time, including the cancelled Mega Man Universe.

But well, following Inafune's departure and Capcom's rapid cancellation of the MM titles he left in his wake, BBA!MegaMan still remained in SFxT as a joke that had no accompaniments to give it context.
