I was actually expecting worse for Europe (since we knew it would be on the 12th in NA and 13th in Europe/Japan). I can live with 5 AM.

We're almost there...

Bad for Europe, but reasonable for everyone else. There isn't really a time they could pick that suited everyone.

I'll be up at 4am, I know I will be ...

Nintendo E3 events are always at a perfect time for everyone.
This is screwing the whole Europe.

Nintendo's E3 streams air at 1 AM in Japan.

Like I said, it's not really possible to make something like this convenient for everyone.

They sure managed better times with Nintendo Directs in the past. This is not because is a global event, but because is a Japanese event (streamed globally).

Many Directs air incredibly early on the West Coast of the US.

Again, it's not possible. Though it is true in this case that Japan was a priority.

That's because it's an American event first and foremost.

I'm not disagreeing. The point is, if you're creating an event that streams in Nintendo's three major markets, at least one of them is going to get the short end of the stick. This cannot be helped.

Preordering the thing might end up awful with a night announcement. At least in daytime people are at work or wouldn't instantly be at places waiting for the store to open.

Hmmm final class on that day ends around 5pm and I have no class the day after. Pretty good I'd say for me.

It's 8pm for me.

5am...that means I can watch up to 3 hours worth of conference before I head to work. In turn I have to work two hours longer since I come in later. Eh, not the best time but I'll manage.

Thank god I have flexible working times and can come anytime between 0645 and 0900.

I really want new Switch info, but no way I'm up at 5am... will watch later during breakfast. I can do late night but not early morning.

Don't answer before my post if the thread is going forward. Unless you want me to miss the answer. :p

Again, this has nothing to do with West Coast. This has all to do with the event being organised in Japan and has to have the perfect hours for Japan.
