I'm glad there was a Vita demo, because I really wanted a portable version but the framerate and visuals were just slightly rough enough that I stuck with PS4.

makes me feel better about skipping it. was thinking of getting it for grinding reasons but maybe when it's much cheaper.

Just got this for Christmas. Wondering around how long it took y'all to beat the game? Deciding where to allocate my time.

I've been putting in about an hour and a half a day for a week and am at chapter 13 of 21. I have only done a few of the interventions, though, and one arena.

I happened upon
Tifa
last night. Now I need to find out why she's dressed like
a cowgirl
, lol.

Isn't her costume based on what she wears in the flashbacks in FF7?

I think it took me around 40 hrs on my first playthrough. I did do a few sidequests and maybe spent a few hours on grinding (I was under-leveled in a few places, lol).

Got the Day1 edition that includes Japanese VO. How bad is the Eng...should I sub or dub?

English tries really hard to match JPN in tone and voice sound and isn't bad. But it depends on how much you could stand the stupid "the-word" that Tama spouts. Also the lips sync to JPN only + the English sounds pasted onto the game while JPN feels more like it's in the world to me. I played entirely in JPN and it was fantastic.

Finally platinum'd.

Such a criminally underappreciated game :(

Grats...I liked the demo and was planning on getting this but waited a bit at launch and then the PRO patch happened...I really dont want to play it looking like that,I hope they fix it because I want to get it at some point.

It's really not all that bad on Pro, imo.

I completely forgot about the issue after the first few chapters. Not sure if it actually got better, or it's just that I got used to it.

Either way, it's kinda bullcrap that I have not only finished XV before they fixed this (still haven't), I also platinum'd XV too. I was planning on finishing WoFF before XV.

Only good thing is that I can still go back to this classic style after XV whenever they patch this.

This was my first game on the pro too... @_@

Finished up the main quest in XV. Definitely not done by a long stretch but probably ease back on the all day playing now I'm in the end game So time to start this :) the price was too good to pass up the vita version in the European sale.

Seems like English va is a fine way to go yea? Any quirks I should go in knowing or anything?

Got this game just before Christmas and started playing it after I beat FFX a few days ago. I went in thinking I'd play a few hours and then start something else and kind of juggle it. I'm hooked to this game, though. 10 hours in and loving it.

Barely started, but I reaaally love the style they presented the opening with. The quick freezes on each character with their role in the story, the scene between the two siblings framed over the coffee counter, really good, and lovely music too.

The writing to this game is top notch. Gotta finish up my game, only a few chapters left...but anyone who appreciates great writing is in for a treat. It's so fucking hilarious.

It's weird. I feel like the writing should annoy me, but it doesn't. That's considering I couldn't get through Bravely Default or Bravely Second because the writing there annoyed me...

Ditto. Got about 60/70% though those games and dropped them cold, which I don't really do. The formulaic, thin, cookie cutter nature of their design and ceaselessly twee writing was just too much to bear. MRRGRRGRR indeed. No thanks.

The writing here is actually enjoyable.

If you ignore the Mirage descriptions after catching you will miss some chuckle worthy stuff.

It's definately a lighthearted and fun game to play with some good laughs along the way; especially the Lann/
Gilgamesh and Lann/Snow

Got my platinum on the 30th. Such a hreat game. 100 mastered boards trophy was awful tho. 10 hour grind for me.
It took me around 5 hours, really. Did it at the last optional dungeon (Dungeon Z), the area right before the boss. EXP Boost and Lure mirajewels + death and some -aga spells were all I needed. Each battle took me 10 to 20 secs max.

The treasure chest trophy is the one that took me the most time to get lol. Had to go through almost all the dungeons again to get it.

I had to just faceroll the controls randomly until I succeeded.
There's no trick, it's just a terrible minigame.

Picked this up after begin a little disappointed with FFXV, this feels more of a FF game I wanted....FFXV was a bit easy

You don't think this game is easy? I mean, I liked both games, don't get me wrong, but I don't really think this game offers much of a challenge.

WoFF isn't terribly hard, but by comparison to FFXV it's absolutely challenging. XV was a freaking cakewalk. I didn't even sniff anything near a game over. I've actually died in WoFF a few times, and had a few close calls.

Yup, when you end up fighting against enemies or bosses you're not prepared for, they can totally destroy you.

Ehm honestly there's just a couple of challenging monsters stuck in the colosseum. FFXV has double the amount of harder content once done with the main story c'mon.

This game is so nice. I wish the towns are a bit more towny with stores and more buildings to enter rather than just story stop off points, but I think they've done a great job with the game. The actual story presentation, script, voice acting is all through the roof. I love having my moogle follow me around or riding my chocobo haha. I've basically made them, and the game of trying to outfit your stack in a way to get the right stack abilities you want and suit the dungeon's elemental weakness etc is quite engaging. Love the Sherlotta/Refia adventures.

Quick question.

I only have the Big Bridge mission left to do and a few of the townspeople missions.

Can these be done post game or do they have to be done prior to the last mission? The game just told me to finish everything up before I proceed, however......
