I'm glad Drew understands how absurd that Firefighter game looks. That trailer was AMAZING in how melodramatic it was.

Old EA Games tagline was awesome. I remember it from such classics as LOTR: The Third Age.

I wish the Yakuza series didn't hide the sub stories and just marked them. I get the feeling they are going to end up not doing them because of it.

Anyone with PSVR really should check out this free thing: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...ence/cid=UP9000-CUSA07327_00-JOSHUABELLVR0000

It's really, really neat. But before you do, watch the behind the scenes video on how they did it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poI6E8O4jmQ

Essentially, with the techniques they used, they were able to make a live action video, but allow you to actually change the perspective as you move. Most live action VR videos are essentially a 2D dome or a 3D dome (same as the 2D dome, but with added depth) . But with both of those, physically moving in and out does not change the perspective. You can turn your head and look around, but that's it. This video changes all that. I hope to see more like it. It looks like it takes quite a lot of work, though. I think I could sit through a feature-length film with this style, if someone tackles it. If someone could come up with a way to do this on the fly, live virtual concerts and sporting events would be so incredible in VR.

So what is the actual drew meme supposed to represent.

Because I've seen it used in multiple, different, unrelated ways.

their player is garbage. it's less garbage than it used to be but i still groan inwardly at premium content because it's not on youtube, where it doesn't just pause for no fucking reason after 20 minutes

That's why I download it and play it in the browser container.

My laptop sounds like a jet engine after 40 mins - an hour and chrome stops responding shortly after. Every. Single. Fucking premium video, whatever the settings, so I basically have to watch stuff over multiple sessions.

When I'm on my laptop, I just click the download link next to the video I want to watch. It'll play it in your browser's native player, and in Safari that'll save a lot of battery.
