Umm it looks like it. I don't think there is another mission that you can fight him in. Luckily for me, my favorite set Justice Ministry is a lot shorter run. And there are two options to get too.

It's super fast. Start the mission, run to the first boss, kill him, run straight to 2nd boss, kill him. Don't fight anything along the way.
You can literally throw a kunai or whatever at him and he will fall onto the ground. With R3 autolocking it makes it super easy

Well, divine weapons sell more so if you need that blacksmith trophy it's the way to go. Aside from that I don't think so.
Considering how many times I had to fight Tachibana to get his text.. Ugh.

Really? I've just been dismantling them. I never really use my money, but I imagine I will when I start forging and what not. I guess I'll just sell some and dismantle others.

Also , does anyone have a smithing text list of where to grab them all?I found some cool helmets yesterday and was wondering how to get them to be use as a refashion item, well it looks like they can't, cause they were some kind japan exclusive stuff but you can get them from revenants.

Yeah I've been practicing parries since I got the perk since they look SO COOL. Definitely right about high stance. Once he does you can take off his health easily with a couple of parries and follow ups (grapple and a few low stance hits).

I get so confused, like in reforging, are you replacing an ability with an other everytime you reforge?

If I die wearing them u can get them off my revenant.
Why do people even wear Red Demon set if they don't use fire based weapons? That's the main thing for this set, to use fire based weapons to get +30% damage to enemies on fire. Since each hit puts them on fire you get 30% all the time.
I think people wear it for the Ki recovery. Mixed with Kato (especially at level 30) you can have almost 50% recovery.

Actually, the main thing for Red Demons, beside fashion, is the Ki-regen boost from the 6-piece bonus. It is a massive advantage. I've actually moved on to a Yagyu & Yatagarasu mix using the Yasakani Magatamas massive help, but I still miss the Ki-regen.
Didn't have a chance to get in on the awesome revenant drops (and mabye some of those jap only ones) the other day. Some of you guys/gals mind doing it again? How long do revenants last (I don't get off work till 4pm Central)? Also my is PSN: Redfury03 if that helps with anything.
Can't get the smithing text for these three helmets since they were japanese dlc.
You can still get the helmets as revenant drops though.

Holy shit, I'm on new game+ and I had absolutely no idea was soul match was for. I'm glad that I googled it and found out. Hopefully this will make my gear even more powerful. Is this the game's method for upgrading gear and weapons? I thought familiarity was the sole deciding factor (in addition to your chosen stats) in how powerful your weapons would be. Maybe Way of the Strong will become a lot easier now. I've defeated Tachibana and Onoki and it just felt like my divine weapons were doing minuscule damage until I debuffed Onoki with the "weakness" spell. This game is too deep for it's mechanics to be so nebulous.
I'm not quite sure. You can kill a revenant to get a chance at a piece of gear the revenant died with. If your their friend you get everything they are wearing?

I noticed that sub-weapons gain familiarity even when not in use. Aside from that and the fact they can easily be equipped to complete an equipment set, are there any other passive uses to sub-weapons?
Specifically, does any of their special effects gets factored when they're not being used?

She gets stunned during it is my point. And the problem I am having is that the game has very strict rules about Ki yet this attack is straight up ignoring the rules. Like sure if you know it is coming it is not hard to deal with but that attack shouldn't happen under the rules this game has set in place.
This happened for me when I did that mission in NG+ twilight co-op. Not sure if NG+/twilight are needed, but co-op definitely is.

You should spend the next 30 minutes going over the entire samurai, magic, and ninjitsu skill screens. It's pretty alarming you weren't able to see that. This will only help you in the long run. Sorry for the tough love.

I want to strangle the developer who thought it was a good idea to put Tachibana and Honda in a side mission, where you cant summon. I am dead serious, fuck that shit in the ASS.
Can you check the details of revenant's gear before you fight them? Like the name of each piece.

Kill Tachibana first, remember the rock helps!
After that, Honda is easy, you can play it cheap and keep running around the rock then headshot him using arrows, he'll fall for easy attacks.
