Miller High Life.

The champagne of beers.

Troegs is probably my favorite brewery.

Perpetual IPA is great and their seasonal First Cut Mango IPA is amazing. Their Scratch Series gose beer got me into sour beers.

Troegs and Victory are almost always awesome quality. And usually not too expensive either. I'm from PA and I will still buy their beer in any state. The only thing I straight up hated was Victory's Radler. It tasted like lemon drops in a weak beer. It sucked, sadly.

It makes me so happy that pretty much everyone who doesn't live in the middle of nowhere can honestly say that the craft beer scene in their town is blowing up. Indianapolis is no different, and I feel completely spoiled for choice. My favorites that are readily available are both IPAs: Fistful of Hops from Sun King Brewing, and Lift Off IPA from Daredevil Brewing.

I looove Zombie Dust, but it's not easy to find. There are a couple places around town that have it on tap, which makes me so happy. I have not had a bad beer from 3 Floyds.

Yeah, I go up to Colts games a few times a year, love Sun King. Im not typically a fan of cream ales, but love Sunlight! Osiris is good too!

If anyone is interested in trying some really crazy beer I highly recommend Dugges/Stillwater's Tropic Thunder:

It's a sour fruit ale flavoured with peach, mango and passion fruit. It is pretty bizarre and definitely not for those interested in standard ale though.

Repping State of Delaware and Dogfish Head. Some of my favorite beers in no particular order:

90 Minute IPA - DFH
Palo Santo Marron - DFH
Indian Brown Ale - DFH
Punkin Ale - DFH
Night Owl - Elysian
Oatmeal Stout - Samuel Smith
Guinness Foreign Extra Stout - Guiness
Stone Imperial Russian Stout - Stone

I miss my Houston craft beer. Nobody in Texas exports because they don't have to. I would do horrible things to have access to Saint Arnold's and some 8th Wonder Vietnamese Coffee Porter here in PA.

Bellingham WA is a great little town for beer lovers, several great local breweries like Kulshan, Wander, Aslan, not to mention all the other quality Western Washington brewers. Lately I'm really into the citrus IPAs.

I'm a fan of DFH.

Favorite would be Southern Tier for overall selection. They're south of Buffalo.
Favorite beer would be Great Lakes (Cleveland) Christmas Ale. It's just magical in winter time.

Founders, Brooklyn, Stone, Victory, Firestone, Ommegang, 21st Amendment, Bell's are some others that I'd say I drink on a regular basis.

I mainly drink IPAs and other bitter/hoppy beers.

Really? SA doesn't do anything for me a long with 8th Wonder's retail options.

SA does have their Bishops Barrel series. Just released #17 actually. I like all of those.. but those are not rotating.

BrewPi is kinda neat, if you want you can brew your own too.

I did it a few years ago myself and I'm no expert. First batch went good, the second leaked all over and broke the equipment.

The craft beer scene here in South Florida is great. MIA, Funky Buddha, Barrel of Monks, Due South and Bangin Banjo are some of my favorites.

Both are amazing. My best friend just got a brewing job at Southern.

That's awesome, I actually just went there for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was great.

The Cosmik Debris is probably a bit better, but for ease of locating, the Tropicalia can't be beat. Lots of great stuff coming out of Scofflaw in Atlanta too.

I haven't tried Cosmik Debris, looks like it will be available soon so I'll have to pick that up.

I live near a couple fantastic breweries. Treehouse, which has been mentioned already in this thread is a short drive from my house. Apparently "Haze" is supposed to be a god tier IPA. I have yet to try it but people around here are going nuts about it:

Anyone have this yet?

Yeah, excellent beer, too strong for me in terms of ABV, but similar to an Alchemist beer it doesn't taste like a high ABV beer. For an imperial pale ale, very drinkable, just not usually my cup of tea. I'm from Central MA so I try to head out to Tree House once every few weeks.

I have to find some time to get out there and pick this up. I love a good IPA.

Iron Duke brewery is also pretty nice (Ludlow, MA), the next time you are out this way.

Sitting at Allagash in Portland, ME as I type this. Took a little vacation to visit family and did a couple stops in Vermont and now over to Maine.

Someone else had mentioned it and it's totally true-- the top lists are mainly throwaways as the top of the lists are filled with whales best known for being rare. Don't get me wrong, Sip of Sunshine, Heady, etc were fantastic, but it's the whale culture that promotes them into the stratosphere.

Love the push towards local breweries. Not only is the beer much better more $ stays in the community. It's interesting to see how each brewery is different. Some don't even can, while others are growing as fast as they can, to the point several local breweries are distributing to Europe.

any jerseybros try this? it's easily the best i've had locally.

Augie Carton is such an an asshole that it turns an OK DIPA into a pass for me. It's probably the best of their beers (this or Boat) but I'd much rather go down to Backward Flag or Forgotten Boardwalk.

Forgotten Boardwalk is pretty rad. Flounders is pretty decent too but they're like only rarely open for growler fills.

Edit: My current favorite NJ DIPA (although it's not available very often)

Great thread!

I love me some craft brews. Unfortunately, I can't drink them anywhere as much as I used to but I get to treat myself every so often. I already see a few in this thread I really want to try.

I know its probably been mentioned in this thread already, and honestly might be overrated but I still love the stuff. Anytime I see Pliny the elder, I just have to buy it.

Someone mentioned Maine which reminded me of this gem from the Maine Brewing Company. It doesn't look like much by the label but it is fantastic!

sorry I'm posting so much lol. I really like beer. :D

All Maine Beer Co is awesome. I'm very lucky that the local bar up the street from my house has a rotating tap of Peeper, Another One, and the occassional Lunch. It's a little townie bar in central MA, and yet the bar tender is pretty good about bringing in good rotating beers. Peeper is just an excellently drinkable American pale ale.

Speaking of other beers brewed in Maine, Bissel Brothers and Rising Tide are two of my favorites. Can't wait for Rising Tide's Maine Island Trail Ale to be back this spring/summer. Was my go-to beer all last year.

This was just a small selection over Thanksgiving.

You did well for yourself.
Next time you're headed to Monson stop by Homefield Brewing in Sturbridge, right off of Rt 20. It's on the same street that goes out to Rapscallion. It's a tiny little farm-to-glass brewery that usually only has 2 - 5 beers on a weekend, but they're local, original, and good. Plus they do great farm cheese and meat plates and some other apps. They usually have live music at night, so I tend to go in the afternoon. Another good central MA brewery is Stone Cow Farm, in Barre. It's probably inconvenient for you if you're in Springfield, but it's a great farm brewery, pet friendly, kid friendly, and really good beer, right near the town center of Barre.

A few more from local Cincinnati area breweries!

Still after a non-marked Teku glass. I'd like the thinnest crystal, like the BCBS glasses. Those are made by Spiegelau, a German company.

Rastal makes an unmarked Teku glass, but I don't think it's crystal.

Similar tastes it seems. I will check these out. Thanks!

Structures is making amazing IPAs in Bellingham. And if you're willing to head a bit south to Arlington, Skookum is killing it.

Did a search, didn't see anythint specific for craft beer.

Good deal. Sounds like fun!

Too bad beer and traveling is expensive. If I drank Budweiser I'd have so much more money!

I'm a dark beer guy as I generally can't drink anything over 50 IBU. Santo is one of my favorite beers.

In Tampa? Awesome. Was there a couple weeks ago. Great beer.

One of Southern's head brewers just left and is starting Flying Boat Brewing over in St. Pete with one of my wife's friend's husbands.

I had Very Hazy over Thanksgiving.

To be honest I don't remember how it was. Probably 10/10 just like all their other offerings. Imagine drinking Tree House every day.

Oh a thread made for me.

I'm located on the border of NYC so I go to every other half release on Saturdays. Other half is god tier beer. Such crushable IPAs.

I use the OH to trade for treehouse (king Julius is releasing tomorrow!) Trillium and tired hands (there's a double vanilla milkshake releasing tomorrow, hyped.)

Just nothing too hoppy. All those over-hopped IPA's can eff right off.

Stuff tastes like soap.

Give me the Lagers, the Ambers, the Saisons, and the Stouts.

Richmond VA has a lot of great breweries, but I feel that the whole craft beer scene is getting to be a little too much and I'm finding myself not really caring about it much anymore.

The Veil is a local brewery which opened last year and every Tuesday, people line up for hours to buy the beer. Most of their 4-packs go for $16-18 which I think is kinda nuts. Don't get me wrong, it's great stuff, but at the same time I don't think it's THAT much better than other well-received beers. I think I'm also susceptible to buying into the hype (of which there's a ton in the beer scene), and ultimately feeling disappointed.

Now I'm happy just buying a case of All-Day IPA and drinking that.
