You can see the kid hand movements really screwing his punches up, none of the water/blue arm has ever punched straight at ninjara, who isn't moving that much anyway.

In the realm of "small attention to detail" I didn't realize it until that last fight that the bright green tether between a character's hands during the grab is also themed around their arms. In Ninjara's case it was a chain and for Helix it was a DNA strand (even that was rotating as it traveled too, just like his arms do).

Helix is gonna be fun as hell to play as.

Gamexplain pointed out that the frame or bands holding the water/blue arm together (Helix's first arm) is the same type holding Helix together. Maybe implying he cannot hold his form without his gear.

Yep I noticed that as well. The power of nylon straps, I guess?

Can't see the tournament; does the game look like it has that Nintendo brand of depth? Low skill floor but a deceptively respectable skill ceiling?

As good as it is to see someone actually using Mechanica this high in the tournament, I'm kind of glad that the spastic revolver spam didn't continue to win. :p Just watching the player-cams between the two of them during that match was really interesting because you could tell the RG player was trying to be a lot more calculated.

Now it's time for more DNA hype!

Yes, definitely. Moreso than most, imo.

Is there a consensus on how these players feel about to motion controls? That's the main thing I'm worried about with this game. You have to use them right?

i don't really understand how the laser works, but it feels almost like zeon is trying to zone with it? It works decently, better than his jumpspam tactics

Hard to tell right now as the tournaments are all randos that signed up.

There's a lot of options and mechanics available but most aren't taking advantage of them, which makes sense since this they've had little to no time to play and learn.

The few players that are applying strategy and fundamentals make the game look very exciting. Hopefully there will be a demo like Splatoon's but this looks really promising so far.

If anything I'd think this is one of the hardest Nintendo games to get into. That's just comparing Nintendo games though.
