The TEKKEN team is actively working on improving the Tekken 7 game experience for everybody. This is currently our top priority and we appreciate your patience. We will be releasing a number of patches in the coming days:

June 7th: We’re releasing a patch for the PC version to improve security and update Denuvo. It’s important for us to note that this patch was developed concurrently and did not push back the patches addressing online issues (see below).

End of the week: a PlayStation 4 patch to address online stability including matchmaking issues, and bug fixes, will be released. We’ll have more detailed info to share soon about this patch.

Next week: a similar patch to the PS4 version will be released on PC and Xbox One to address online stability and bug fixes.

Stay tuned to our official channels for more info shortly, and as always, we’ll keep monitoring the situation and collecting your feedback about Tekken 7. Thank you for playing!

About damn time. Everyone is starving to play Ranked Matches.

They should also remove the name of your opponent so that they will not spam Decline to dodge you.

I don't know what happened, but since yesterday I can now get matches from Warm-Up and I can join people in the Match List.
Now is about the time I am starting to get salty that online is fucked on PS4. That has really gone on for too long now.

There's a workaround for those who can't connect to matches.

Player Match/Ranked Match -> Match List

Make sure it should says "Searching for session" at the bottom of the screen. You'll get a popup in under 60 seconds saying "You've been challenged" and it'll actually connect.

Yeah Jin looks dope in this game but I can see why people would hate his default attire. I almost never play his base costume.

Any thoughts on Feng? As a new Tekken player, im doing my best with him so far.

b+1+2 is your best easy punish tool. b+1 is your fastest interrupt tool.

ws+3, SS+4, qcf,3, uf+4, f+3,4 are all launchers. qcf,3 can also be mixed up with qcf,1 for sneaky low hits.

from there do a simple df+1,1, f+1+2, f+3,4, b+1+2 for around 70 damage.

Chloe is adorable, she can spell her own name mid rage art. I love it maggle.

The "oh yeahhh!" at the end of a succesful attempt is great lol

I hated on her until I realized she spelled her name in her intro or outdo pose.

Then I had to give it up, too kawaii

Can someone tell me what song is singing about "going to the dance floor" or "chocolate & ice cream" and "cheeseburgers". It is so bizarre.

Anyone else here is a long time Tekken player who just Plateau-ed at a certain level for years?

I went from clueless noob to a "aware" of the game ,but it seems like the next jump in ability is extremely difficult or may never happen.

The online quality doesnt give me hope either.

Well for me the online has been excellent surprised to hear this as most folks I talk with in tournament mode mostly say how excellent the net code is at green bars and even yellow not so bad many times.

As for as leveling up my ability... defiantly hit a wall years ago.

But hope springs eternal. And I drop some bad habits like I used to only want to play with one character and that was it.

Even if I don't improve hugely, it's still fun to see if you can win the online tournament or two. I've been lucky enough to win a couple already.

Or going against somebody that we know is a higher rank like a marauder, eeeeking out a win on better players, it's always classic

Anyone else dealing with some arm soreness from doing korean backdash on arcade stick?

I actually swapped to xbox controller for now because my forearm and wrist are extremely sore, but I prefer to play on stick :(

Thats normal especially in Tekken. Some Street Fighter pros and players of other fighting games have had to have medical help for stuff like carpal tunnel syndrome due to difficult repetitious wrist movement. Echo Fox's Julio comes to mind.

For a casual fighting game player like me who prefers the single player modes and has absolutely no interest in playing against real people (because I get my ass kicked so, so badly)...I don't like this game. Got a refund on Steam.

Visually the characters look horrible (lots of refrigerator block shaped male characters and unnaturally shiny surfaces), the voice acting is awful and the gameplay just gives me cramps to be honest. Single player content seems lacking.

I feel this is definitely a game for those who know their fighting games. I can't count frames, I don't have the reflexes to reliably block and counter stuff and I can't remember all the moves. The games I have played previously have been DoA5 and VF5 (on emulator) and I felt those were just a little bit slower and easier to grasp without getting totally kicked by the CPU. Being able to have move lists on screen was a tremendous help for memorizing them too.

I was so damn sure that I'd like defensive play in this game. Every other game, I like playing a reactive style where I whiff punish and play almost a hit and run style.

Yet in this game, I like playing offensive. I thought I'd love playing Asuka, turns out I love playing Kazumi and Katarina. This game is so much fun man, I can't wait for online to work properly.

Thats pretty much me right now, i always have trouble getting attacks in and especially against opponents whose constantly pressing buttons.

Why is this game so addicting?

I don't even like fighting games but somehow I can't get enough of this. It's so satisfying when you nail combos.

I really hope the Jukebox is a timed exclusive. Ya'll are reminding me that Tekken 5 and 6 have phenomenal soundtracks.

I finally got into a ranked match and now have the platinum.

I feel too comfortable against the AI at this point. I think to further improve I now really ed the human competition. I actually stuck with Katarina.

I want to play online, but I think I'm going to be really salty. I get really competitive and to be really good at this game would require me to become great at Korean backdashing and such. Just don't have the time for it so I keep avoiding online. I need to embrace my casual scrub side.

Embrace it. I haven't seen anyone do any fancy backdash shit, so why worry about it if you're a scrub? I certainly don't do it, either. It's just not something I feel I need to learn yet.

Do you get competitive/salty with friends?

It's bad design when it's ezpz on a keyboard/hitbox but takes weeks/months to master on a stick.
