Shitty trailer imho, and the fps wasnt looking too good. First game ran like ass as well, had some good ideas but poorely executed
I don't believe the co-op is forced, you can still play solo.STRONGLY dislike the forced coop (it seems) and the first game seems better so far.
I loved the first one.

It's an indie game.

...in 2017. With MS' money behind it. On the world's most powerful console.
Step your shit up, Undead. My hope is that the game is still early and will look better by release, but, this was disappointing.
Microsoft's backing doesn't instantly mean they'll get a huge amount of funding. I'd take engaging gameplay mechanics over janky animations anytime all the time....in 2017. With MS' money behind it. On the world's most powerful console.

What engine is this on?They could pin some of the blame with SoD1 on Cryengine, no such luck this this around...

If they can have all of the systems of SOD with those graphics then I am impressed. I am more interested to see it on Monday. From what I've heard, yes, it's a similar type of game as SoD.
This isn't exclusive to the Windows Store, is it?
That I can't specifically comment on just yet. Stay tuned!mgamini:
One specific question: is the game coming to PC more broadly or just to Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform Store?
It looked awful..
Seems to barely be an improved over the first one.
Undead Labs partnered with MS Studios for SoD2, so no, not really.
Looke great to me. Not sure what people are getting at. Big step up from the first one.
Big step up from the first one, but that isn't exactly saying much. I think it looks fine, but the animations still look janky as fuck.Looke great to me. Not sure what people are getting at. Big step up from the first one.
Loved the first game but really wanted to be able to play coop in some way. I wanted drop-in coop where someone could bring a character to help, but I have to imagine they still have the same single player in there.
I asked a developer last year and he said "stay tuned":
They did the same with the first but it was still an indie game. We don't know the team size, size of the world, number of assets, etc. So we can't label this as AAA when it may not be one./QUOTE]
Pretty sure they've said the game world is at least three times the size fo the one in the original and considering how dull a lot of that world was...
Didn't the remaster go for near full price? Is this 60$? One the main reasons the first did so well was the price for the content you got. Not sure this will rock the charts this time.

Do we know if this world will be as sparse as the first? I thought I read in a dev blog that there was more to the world. If the team hasn't blown up but they have to produce assets for a world three times larger, that could explain some things.
