It's literally a copy and paste of that post
Incoming , the most hated monster hunter game in the series history
The Tasty! jingle has been confirmed to be in the game. All impressions I've seem from the E3 demo is that the gameplay is intact. Felynes and ALL 14 weapons are returning. The first picture hardly has been debunked, in fact all we know only makes it seem more true:
-XX name was proven correct
-MH5 might not have been final, could have been negotiated (Sony seemed to make a deal for FF XIV to be numbered, exclusive game when XIII had come out not even that long before) and Capcom got cold feet not wanting to alienate their core base (because that would have been really stupid no matter how much money Sony was trying to pay for a numbered exclusive aimed at a Western audience).
-World being exclusive on PS4 in Japan and not on the Switch, while being on PC and Xbox, makes the next two points seem plausible, they paid for exclusivity in Japan since they are "desperate for Japan". And of course they would forbid Nintendo because they want to steal their base for the game, especially if the part about trying to make it MH5 is true. In fact, part of the naming of MH5 could be supported by the original team being involved. Most here have seemed to assume that to be true due to who is involved, despite not having a number.
-Gameplay could have been speculation about open world, such as if it's doesn't have the same sort of "arena" layout of the map but open areas you can travel across without loading. Timers seem to be gone. Missions can be formatted differently. We also don't know how much of the old combat with remain, but this seems more action focused from what we've seen. Music is taken from the cooking seems to be a change to make it more accessible to the west, we haven't seen characters like Felynes or more fantastical, light-hearted additions. Combat could have certainly been streamlined, simplified, or altered from the traditional formula to appeal to new fans.
-MH Portable is still stuff we have 0 knowledge of but if it exists, it would make sense that it was indeed MH5
The second sounds like lots of speculation (always has) but if it is indeed the same person it could fill in a lot of the blanks about what is going on in this situation.
I've never played a monster Hunter but I like what I'm seeing. Can someone please explain me why there is such a negative reception here?

But it doesn't though?I believe some people aren't upset with the fact that Worlds seems to get rid of most, or at least a good chunk, of traditional monster hunter mechanics. Previously it didn't seem to be an issue since people assumed those who preferred tradtirional MH would get MHXX for the Switch but now that that's not happening, people are generally upset over the lack of localization and being left with a game that they disagree with.
...Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate performed better on 3DS than Wii U, even outside of Japan.

oh, I see, so it seems Capcom wants everyone in the west to like Worlds. I suppose they don't want to split the community for a series that basically is making its first big push in the west.I believe some people are upset with the fact that Worlds seems to get rid of most, or at least a good chunk, of traditional monster hunter mechanics. Fair, but they still count. Honest question, is it still so bad for them to presue new ideas on current hardware? If the vision of MH5/W can only run on current hardware why should that be a bad thing? For the record having both XX and W in the west would be great but at some point the franchise needs to evolve to avoid stagnation. It's unforutante it came at the cost of the last portable one's localization but the fanbase will survive. As fans of the franchise we should be disappointed in no XX but excited it survives on even on PC and Xbox.

The fact that you're clutching hard to things that aren't (and can't be) confirmed when almost everything that can be proven is wrong (though guessing XX was a good guess, it's not such an unlikely name as to make guessing it improbable) tells me you WANT it to be true, but you don't have a real reason to believe so.
If part of this rumor has been proven to be wrong or baseless speculation (with no warning that the leaker was speculating on the points that are BS), the entire thing should be treated as such.
There are many PS4/One/PC games exclusive to PS4 in japan, do you think Sony paid for all of them?
Really no offense, but you sound like the people who still call Tidux (as an example) an insider because he got 1 out of 50 things right.
Most of the things that can be proven wrong, are just wrong. So it just doesn't make sense to still reference this rumour.
Read some impressions, bro. Also, devs said that the jingle is in. The rumor is bullshit, but believe what you want.I was going by the World trailer and haven't seen any gameplay (being that it's E3 and there is so much else going on), and the cooking jingle didn't play in the trailer.
You seem to be the one projecting about what you want to be true (or false in this case) since getting the name right doesn't mean it's was just a lucky guess since it could have been X Ultimate or something else.
I also wouldn't assume one bit of wrong info discredits the whole thing since that's not always how leaks pan out since things change. Besides, the I give the first post more credibility for getting at least some part of the post credibility by being proven correct, and who knows if the second part is the same person or who valid their info source is when they are spilling all kinds of gossip making up the bulk of the post.
But if anything their current course of action is doing just that, splitting the community and alienating "traditional" fans of MH. And knowing the community, I wouldn't be surprised if they put forth a lot of effort to try to get Capcom to localize MHXX. They'll likely refrain from buying Worlds and try to make it so that western fans buy the Japanese version of XX more than they buy Worlds.

Counterpoint: I think many of the criticisms pointed at MHW are a result of Nintendo MH fans being angry about a change in platform, leading me to believe that they weren't around for the Playstation games. I've seen tons of Switch based salt in this and other MHW topics. I would argue that the people who have stuck with the series the longest remember how great the console entries could be, and want to see a return to a more impressive MH.This wouldnt surprise me at all.
I would buy a Switch for XX. I commute 10 or more hours a week and love local MH so I am more interested in XX. I hope World turns out good and I am primarily a PC gamer but I am skeptical so far and much more interested in XX/Generations 2. I'm pretty pissed off about this so far.
MH was a franchise I always knew I could count on being great. Now I really dont know and I feel like any expressions of doubt about World are getting shouted down by people who havent even stuck by the series for so long.
Goddammit Capcom... I was so hyped for XX too. You really really don't want me to play a traditional MH game anymore do you?
The combat in MHW is still the same.
The multiplayer hunting in MHW is still the same.
Then you're gonna be disappointed. I'm pretty sure prowlers are out. If that was the main selling point of MH for you, I don't know what to tell you.I want to play improved prowlers.
What's more reasonable, blindly believing portions of a rumor that is mostly false because I want to believe those untested parts of the rumour, or assuming it's crap after almost all of it (the parts that will ever be verifiable, anyway) is proven false?I was going by the World trailer and haven't seen any gameplay (being that it's E3 and there is so much else going on), and the cooking jingle didn't play in the trailer. If I'm wrong about the gameplay, then I'm wrong, I just haven't personally read or seen any aspects that point to this being a full blown traditional MH game.

Where am I applying one thing as a blanket statement of "proof"? A PS4 exclusivity just makes it more plausible, especially since it lines up with several other aspects in the post that may make it more than just a coincidence.
And sure, cherry pick one part of my post to discredit what I am saying while trying to paint me as cherry picking one verified correct piece of info as if everything else is verified false.
But I can't do it on the go with other players. This is why I want XX.The combat in MHW is still the same.
The multiplayer hunting in MHW is still the same.
I want to play improved prowlers.

Of course it will be localized. These meltdowns will look pretty silly down the road.
