Haven't been on all day. Anything new??

kinda

Now that Tekken is over.

Zero:

So Zero doesn't have level 3 Buster Cancel off specials anymore. When he gets to level 3 with his buster & cancels a move it adds a brand new move to the end of whatever special move he was doing.

So far

Fireball level 3 is a ground pound explosion that goes in all directions.

Lightning level 3 is a wierd super version of jumping H(HP). Can't seem to combo without tag.

No more up lighting, just across & down. Lightning is done with qcf K.

Level 3 Buster is hella slow on start up. Not the wiff punisher it once was.

Dd for SRK. Really annoying.

As I said earlier his dashes are trash on recovery. Like if you did uncanceled lightning in UMVC3 bad.

St. M is gone. He has a weird kick now as st LK. C. Hk is a sliding sweep. C. Hp is old c. H. C.lp is old c. M. C. Lk is old c. L.

You can't do his launcher it seems unless they are guarding or hitting. I tried a bunch of times & it didn't come out.

There is a huge delay before your shadow does the follow up in Sogenmu. No way LL is possible.

He's slow as fuck. Seems more like a zoner.

Strider:

You play Strider with Reality Gem no doubt. My gameplan was to save my meter for Oroboros & Reality Factor & go ham. He goes haaaaam. Stupid hard to block.

His inputs are all fucked up. Qcb P is like gram. Dd is teleport. I couldn't figure out how to get all the animal types. I could get bomb & formation B only.

Formaton B doesn't seem to OTG.

Zoo Super is stupid. Basically you call it Tag & just go ham with the point. They have to take it.

Super low double jump overheads seem gone.

That's all I can remember right now.

Tryung to WD is a death sentence righg now. You're guatanteed to get fucked up somehow.

More MVCi stuff

Zero:

Buster cancel off uppercut causes a downward Ice Stab. This allows you to combo off the uppercut easy.

fHK is some weird ass ghetto flash kick.

Level 3 Buster in addition to being slow also has shit durability now.

Strider:

Yes both Eagle & Tiger a now fHP & fHK. They are both though, suprise slow as fuck. Can't really be used to control neutral.

His 4th teleport teleports him to the wall behind him. Odd.

I was wrong about not being able to throw out raw launchers. You totally can. They are cancelable now though like TVC.

Did I mention gem activation guard cancels? It does just like x factor.

I feel like Iron Fist might have been excluded for being too good in the new system as he'd be hard to balance since his whole shtick is he had abnormally high damage at the cost of being hard to get in with. Now that you can easily get in with a character like Strider then instantly set up a nigh unblockable and tag in to Iron Fist for his crazy damage

Damn now capcom is paying Iron Galaxy off?

The game is legit fun. Can't say much for going down the road, but I played MVC3 in it's early stages, and MVCI demos very very well in a 1v1 situation.

That being said, it just makes the character model/artstyle issues that more apparent. Usually we don't need to worry about the art for Capcom games, as they're the pinnacle in most examples. But some stuff in SF5 and MVCI especially are questionable when it comes to artstyle.

Aw man, Capcom paid off Maximilian too.

I still think SF4 was ugly af. SFV looks great in comparison minus Ken of course. But SF4 had he-man Ken.. I think if you fix Chun li, fix Dante's face, add some different or better shaders, and add some better effects to moves I'd be fine with the look... I mean if you look at Dante's model in MvC3 without shaders he looks really strange... And MvC:I looks better in comparison. Also Chun li in MvC3 has a pretty simple face, but obviously shaders and her anime nose look better aesthetically.

Mods for UE4 are coming along quick. Someone's gonna make a MVC3 shader. Pretty sure I'll be on the PC version mostly just for that.

As hype as I am for this game, both it and it's reception would be way better if they spent their budget fixing the visuals instead of VIP rooms to convince pro players to suck them off on Twitter

I feel like those are different problems.

Heck with street fighter the quality of the models and stages got better. They hired different modlers for different characters, so every once in a while they got a weird one. Or rather, you got ken's face, and then alex's normal outfit hair, and then.. everything was fine. From my understanding this game, MVCi is in house and capcom got like half the known roster fucked up.

What do you meant by it's being hard to move in the game?

There is a 5 to 10 frame delay after you ground dash before you can act. Wave dashing & plink dashing requires a really long delay because of this & it's hard to approach safetly or more importantly run away safetly. Also dd inputs cause random dps to come out while trying to dash. You have to try & hit df or db to cancel your dash, all at an awkward rhythm.

A story mode demo for a fighting game is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Put out an online beta/demo so people at home can get their hands on the meat of the game.
Or an offline demo like REV 2 so we can do local tournaments.

They really just want you to just do singular long dashes in this game (ie. let the dashes rock). Most of the ground dashes are longer, faster than before so that's not a terrible way to get around.

It's a story focused game, and they just got done getting shredded for not having a story mode even on time for SFV, of course it makes sense to put out a story mode demo. This is what the market demanded of Capcom specifically.

To not have all of your models together and the presentation right is another story.

You don't need a VS demo, you need an online beta to inspire confidence in the final netcode and the developers commitment to the community post-launch.

Damn, Zero is ass now?
What?

Hell no. He has new tools and his previous tools got changed/nerfed. Doesn't mean he is bad, this is a brand new game... he probably has to approach the game differently.

Can't just rely on Lightning and Busters into kill combos to win the game. He has a lot of tools and you probably have to use most of them to succeed with him and use the tag feature like everyone else.

He is no Ryu that's for sure.

How are player bases for fighting games on PC, namely Capcom?

Considering it's dead game, you can still find matches for USF4 during nights/ the weekends.

SFV is not really a great example as that game has crossplay.

Fighters these days seem to be doing fine on the PC all things considered. A capcom game isn't gonna have a playerbase problem unless the PC version is absolute garbage.

He's probably just different, but it would be nice if that human-faced robot fuck was even mid tier for once :3

I have little doubt that he'll turn out stupid as in every game

jokes, iss jussa game

He keeps trying to sidestep and it never comes out.

Heh

You have to wait longer to wave dash in this game. And then combined with the down down moves, you can get accidental moves when trying to dash around.

They haven't really focus on single player contents announcements so I presume that they probably save it for D23 or last month before the game's release date.

But some stuff in SF5 and MVCI especially are questionable when it comes to artstyle.

Comparing SFV to MvCI is pretty disingenuous. There are some common quibbles with a few models in SFV, but they are nowhere even close to the problems with the awful, awful look of Infinite. Ken's face looking rough in the character select screen doesn't exactly compare to half of Infinite's characters looking like they were ripped from a cellphone game and upresed.

For all its faults, SFV looks like a game people cared about during development. Infinite, on the other hand, looks like a game that is a year away from being done and was haphazardly pushed out. A rough first pass at best, but apparently that was enough for Capcom.

Even the comparisons with KoF XIV are uncalled for. There the models are basic, but there is a cohesive aesthetic in place. MvCI is set to be the ugliest fighting game on the modern consoles. Absolutely unacceptable.

That award goes to Injustice hd remix, but mvci gonna be a close second

Does anyone know if you can switch cancel Level 3s or cinematic hypers?

Might look goofy, but if you could it'd be a neat option for Power Stone users who could switch cancel and then activate their storm to get enhanced damage off of someone already taking damage.

Someone managed to connect level 3 into level 3 (but it wasn't cancelled tho)
