People need to realise this was a glorified sparring session between two men who fucking love $$$$$$$$$$. Any venom being spat is utterly meaningless. You can tell people have got themselves overly worked up and taken in by the pre fight hype.

Basically it's what I expected.

Mayweather drew it out to make sure there wouldn't be a round 1,2,or 3 knock out on McG. People would leave fucking pissed if that happened which would put a sour note to the end of his career or if he wanted to do this again in a year or two with another. He could have ended it about any time he wanted.

What did surprise me was McG's stamina. For someone who started a few months ago, he lasted much longer before being gassed. He did about as well as you can hope for an amateur against the world's best.

But it was a shit match... aka exhibition.

Actually he seemed like forgot he wasn't in a cage at one point. He also forgot what boxing is.

Bottom line is it was so pathetic it should never have happened in the first place. No one would want to see Mayweather in submissions in a cage and this was the same thing with Conor.

I honestly expected Mayweather to carry him into late rounds, which is exactly what happened. Hell I was expecting it to go the distance given Mayweather doesn't exactly have knock-out power nowadays.

Guess the referee was right to top after seeing the replay of the shots but I wished we would have seen a knock down.

Sucks that Mayweather kept his clean slate but I also dislike McGregor.

That's what I meant. The finished called before he actually went down. That he finished on his feet (out or not) instead of KO'd on the mat is a blessing for him.

Photos of him knocked down aren't a great look for marketing.

This was Rocky 3 where Rocky battled Hulk Hogan.

And it was a pretend fight.

I mean good for both of them because they made a ton of money, but they destroyed the sport. I will never trust boxing again. And to think people bet millions of dollars on a pretermined result.
