Some other spoiler stuff

A detail I noticed is that at a certain point, nadine will start screaming "Chloe!"
in a more caring tone if you get killed vs "Fraiser!" in a less caring tone and more just worried of being on her own.

I also totally ship nadine and sam.

Oh, sweet! I thought I noticed that! There's some really great detail in dialog sprinkled throughout the game!

Question about multiplayer, if I download this game, will I get the whole mp package? I've been holding on to my U4 disc because of multiplayer.

Is that really a laughable concept? Why not have it be optional. How in the world would that affect your personal enjoyment of the game if it could be toggled on/off or there was an auto-solve prompt on lower difficulties after a set amount of time? I get that people like to feel superior to others mentally but I don't see any real harm in what I suggested. It's just giving the player more options.

Yeah, they could just have a system where a prompt shows up that lets Nadine solve it. It would make sense, Nadine could just say "hey let me try this one." Screen fades in and out with the puzzle solved.

Personally took me about 10-15 minutes.

I must be doing something wrong then...

Do you overwrite your save from your previous playthrough for that to take effect?

I just collected all 5 treasures from The Gatekeeper when I was only missing one.

It's just making sure to making a hard save. You can overwrite or just make a new save. Doesn't matter.

Huh, that's neat. Gonna have to try that!

You have to
climb outside of the doors that you open and keep climbing up
. I didn't do that my first go around.

Being extremely cautious with spoilers out of respect for everyone, but I don't think that's much of a spoiler lol.

Just finished. Easily the best game in the series, not once did it feel compromised, cut down or half-assed. A genuine step forward even from the marvellous Uncharted 4, everything was overhauled and improved. Memorable, intense, laugh-out-loud funny, serene and even moving in places. A spectacular achievement and it deserves to be spoken of alongside TLOU.

And the credits <3

Just finished the game. It was amazing. If I had to rank it with the others...

U2: AT > U: TLL > U4: ATE > U3: DD > U: DF

I see there was some discussion about the shadow puzzle earlier on this page. I like that puzzle a lot, as I knew what need to be done, I just needed to figure out the correct order. I HATED the pillar puzzle though (the one where the statues would attack you if you stepped on a wrong plate). I just didn't understand the basic mechanics, I guess. Would the statue attack all the matching plates or just the one you're standing on? Also, it was really difficult for me to cross match the symbols with the statues.

I don't know, maybe I'm dumb.

With every step you take, the statues would move between 2-4 different poses, at different points in an attack. The final 'pose' in their sequence would be a strike where they swing at the panel(s) in front of them.

It was just a case of choosing a path, and then every time you went near a statue, checking whether it would hit you in the next 'frame' or not when you hop in front of/near it.

That's a fantastic solution. You could get even more clever with it and let the other person try a couple of things and possibly fail, while they describe their thinking.

Then if the person still doesn't have it 10 mins later the partner goes and does it in one.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

I never even looked at the

on the platforms.

I just collected all 5 treasures from The Gatekeeper when I was only missing one.

I have the same issue, whenever I chapter jump it resets my treasures for that chapter and all future chapters. I assumed this was because I started a new save first because I thought that would unlock the bonus menu (as opposed to downloading it in a patch, the fuck were they thinking about that bullshit) and I accidentally loaded that save when chapter jumping.

I'm terrified to try collectable hunting and accidentally miss one now, in case I have to go back and it erases everything else.

On the plus side, the stats and treasure menu show the treasures I've collected so far so maybe the trophy will unlock if I get the few that I'm missing.

TLL is even better than 2 for me. Better, more dynamic encounter design, better puzzles, better set-pieces, more varied traversal, better final boss and
elephants instead of supernatural creatures.

I also like the photo moments.

U4 > U:LL > U2 > U3 > U1

People complain about the exploration/climbing padding in U4 but for me it just broke up the combat encounters to a satisfying extent.

U:LL is definitely a tighter and optimised experience but U4's narrative got me good.

Am I the only one that just wished Chloe took over the franchise after Uncharted 3? I haven't even played it yet, getting my copy in the mail tomorrow and I'm just like in love all over again with Chloe.

Yea, took me about an hour with hints from Nadine. The first real challenging puzzle in an Uncharted game. I couldn't even find a guide since I played it like 4 days before release.

As I posted earlier
The shadow puzzle was actually really easy once, you got most of the pieces ready, then you' note: I need to get this there but I need this piece to move here so that piece doesn't move too far.. etc
super easy. Did it both times very quickly

The trickiest puzzle imo is the last one. Spin spin spin

But there wasn't enough combat for it to break anything up of as you've said - liberteria, water (on the boat) to exploration to lots of climbing and then more exploration; that whole stretch had no combat. Just walking, talking, climbing, exposition. A long long time on this.

Really? I thought that last puzzle was really easy. I guess it depends on our own way of looking at them.

Oh, on my second run - I tried to do a treasure run with the
queen
and there are still some I can't find. Really annoying. :( There was one in chapter 3 that had me running around for ages and I still couldnt find it. One not long after you meet
sam______
.

Btw, no one has talked about the unlockables but the
galleries were really great as were the 3D model viewing gallery

Trickiest. I'm not saying its hard - I can see it being the hardest. I didn't have any problems with any of the puzzles.

That's basically all the puzzles. We know the solution but it just getting there that may take some effort. That's why I enjoyed all of them. None of them were frustrating.

Kinda hilarious that Gamekult listed the finale of the game as a negative. "its just not stopping and its exhausting"

Only thing that stops me from putting LL ahead of U2 is U2's insanely inventive set pieces. Even then though, after replaying LL a second time, I'm not even sure that's enough for U2 to stay at the top. LL really is a stunning achievement.

I'd still have 2 at the top just because it had literally perfect pacing and set pieces, TLL comes close, but the "open world" part dragging on a little takes away slightly.

So I'm not crazy, then.... Thought it might have been a coincidence since I didn't die that often (small sample), but it makes sense.

Just got this yesterday and am playing this in between Kingdom Hearts 1.5 sessions so I'm only on chapter 3. From what I played though, it's very refreshing to play an Uncharted as someone who's not Drake and the pacing is fantastic so far.

Also the visuals! It looks bloody gorgeous on a 4k tv with HDR, can't wait to play more later. 😀

Great game. Seeing some of these GIFs makes me want to stop playing stealthily and just Rambo it. I only beat Uncharted 4 once, but playing this makes me want to go back and see how I feel about it on a second playthrough. I remember not like Uncharted 3 nearly as much as 2, but when I played the remaster, I enjoyed it more the second time.

I'd say UC2's pacing is perfect from Chapter 5 (Nepal) until Shambala. The opening heist sequence is not very good and Shambala is too combat focused. From start to finish, I'd say LL has better pacing and a better balance of traversal/puzzles/combat. Not one part of LL drags on for more than it needs to. You can get through Chapter 4 very quickly if you really wanted to (although even on my second play through I explored and collected everything because of how enjoyable the optional puzzles and combat encounters are).

UC2 definitely has the edge in big, over the top set piece moments, though. But I'd argue the core gameplay in LL is so much better than it doesn't need to rely on those set pieces as much as UC2.

Beat the game tonight. It's definitely top two in the series for me. Chloe and Nadine were fantastic together and the gameplay felt refined to perfection. Bravo ND, you nailed it!

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
What a fantastic game. The ending song (M.I.A. - Borders if you didn't know) was perfect.

Also, I never completely understood why Nadine still hated Sam and Nathan.

It seemed like at the end of Uncharted 4, that she recognized that it was she who had made a deal with the devil.

This literally imo could not have been better.
The car chase and the train part was just incredible, one of the highlights of the entire series. I knew when I got to it it'd be the end.
I never really cared for Chloe but now I love her. The character development was top notch.

On chapter 7. Game is brilliant, this is the UC4 I wanted.

and I'm loving how Chloe & Nadine are getting closer, just got to that part where Chloe says she needs a second to get her head back in the game and Nadine pushes her into the lake and Chloe's like "really?". Had a big smile on my face, I dunno man, I don't think there's many developers good at crafting these subtle moments like ND

Just finished it tonight. Absolutely loved it. Bought the deluxe version of UC4 at launch and feel like I am cheating ND a little for getting this at no additional cost. I hope the game does well for them.

With a tighter package than UC4, I think I liked it a bit better, though I've been a fan of all of the games. Another great title from an elite developer!
