Shorter times so you can just cash out on the salary VC and do more drills faster. After you get your endorsements, it kinda adds up. Playing games aren't really worth it either as its faster doing certain drills for badges/upgrades.

Meh, I felt I needed 12 minutes as a non starter to guarantee me playing time and a chance to have a good grade. Since I changed to 12 minutes, the "plot" seems to have accelerated with me about to be offered a starting spot.

Switch cutscenes in undocked are noticably better, though still with slow down before and after the dialogue.

If you're on the switch and using these recommendations, be sure to mess with the animation blending settings. Since the switch is half the framerate of the others, you need to up it by at least by 25% to get similar results it seems. I went from a lot of yellow and white to white and greens.

With a MyPlayer in progress, and a franchise mode with two expansion teams I created, my save file is only 144 MB.

Just got this game, doing ok so far. For those of you starting as an overall 60, how do you even compete?

Train for the badges. Get upgrades for abilities with the VC you earn. I choose to upgrade the 3rd points shooting and steals and it worked quite well. It still takes some time but once you reach level 65 things start to be better, as in you can do a bit more things on the field.

Played a few games of mypark last night on my vanilla ps4 and it ran great. Hopefully they fixed the framerate problem.

My average grade is an A- but my record is absolutely miserable as I get stuck on peoples teams that just don't know how to play this game

Have you played the story mode? It's near unplayable between games. The cutscenes are so broken that you have to sit through 5-10 minutes of a choppy slow motion version of the cutscene and you can't skip it.

Yeah, played the story mode up to my third NBA game. Haven't experienced these issues with graphical slowdown.

If the cutscenes are unskippable, then that's a programming choice and not a bug (unless the cutscenes are skippable on PS4 or Xbox). But if you are playing story mode, wouldn't you want to see the story?

It is bad. They are very cheap with the VC when playing and everything is so expensive. Are you forced to spend extra? If you want play my park you absolutely have to. You cannot compete with anyone unless you do. It will take like 300 games to get your guy up to 85. On top of that no one is going to want to play a game with a players rated 65.

if you don't care about mypark then I think you can live without buying VC.

Anyone playing this on PC? Is it worth getting? I know the Steam reviews are getting bombed, but that's mostly a VC related reaction.

I'm primarily interested in Association modes, online play and potentially online leagues (what I used to play).

Feels weird I'm at this stage even, considering I used to search my city for early copies of 2k games and no life on them for awhile whenever they came out. Was ranked 3rd on the xbox leaderboards back in 2k8, before they got rid of leaderboards and lobbies.

Haven't been able to find much info on online leagues. Those were really fun to play, had a group of guys I'd play with from OperationSports who were "sim" players. Was always fun when it was draft night and you got to build your team for that season.

I got by the lower levels due to the vc glitches, so it'll be more daunting at first, but if you choose a shooting or point guard, you shouldn't have much issue. There's also a clothing glitch you can still use that will keep the need for customization at bay. If you just stick to the career mode, turn the game minutes up to 12, and do practice in between games, you should be doing alright. Also, you must, must, must find a jump shot that works for you. There are a bunch of recommended ones on YouTube, when you get the chance (locked behind a level), do it, it'll make shots and your enjoyment much better.

I haven't touched online multiplayer yet, so I'm not feeling too rushed to upgrade, especially now that I've reached 80 and can kind of hold my own in career. And this is all for only the online portion. Offline, is pure. I've got a MyGym franchise going, where I took the 01-02 Kings, Westbrook, LeBron, and Detlef Shremphf, and made the entire roster 19 year olds with 5 year/$3M contracts.

Gonna actually stream it for a little bit.

Yeah it's hard to play this game for a long time straight. I'll play like a game or two...but just give up because i'm not really getting anywhere and my character just sucks too much.

with previous 2k games i'll continue playing because I could see my character improving and feel it too (f you layups). Mycareer/myplayer is my favorite mode and it's just annoying now. Hopefully things change, but I don't see them doing any changes given what they have prioritized in the patches.

They want as much money as they can get and they do not care about the player's experience.

My game saves were corrupted twice yesterday. Luckily I was only a few games in on MyGM. Both times were likely due to the game crashing while saving. Very, very long save times are the problem.

I also noticed if I leave my switch on, while the game is paused for maybe 10+ minutes, the game crashes every single time.

Haven't experienced issues coming back to the game after putting the Switch to sleep. This is even during franchise games I am in the middle of.

I do recommend closing down the game, and then restarting it. I did that last night, and it did download an hefty update. When I did choose Software Update from the game option menu, it said I was current. But, loading the game downloaded the update.
