Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite |OT| Marvel vs. Capcom: 4 Female Characters

this dude said big mac meal lmao

And now I want one.

I paid $4.50 for a cup of coffee the other day. A ridiculous extravagance even on a weekly basis which I've been unable to give up. It made my thoughts turn to the value of things and how much people balk at paying a similar amount for an app or small game.

holy shit sigma's design looks crappy. like it doesn't even belong in the same game. black panther looks good.

i had a 10 dollar discount at best buy plus GCU pretty much let me get the deluxe version for 60 bucks. i'm only really interested right now in the monster hunter character.

Just unbundle them and sell them for 5 or 6 or whatever. I feel like that'd be fine

Honestly they should went for this

5.99 per character
3.99 per costume
8.99 for both
9.99 for bundle of Capcom and Marvrl characters
29.99 for season pass

So people would have more choices.

Maybe comparison to SF4, UMvC3, and even SFV DLC would be better than to a Big Mac meal.

$6-$8 is still $6-$8 no matter what you spend it on.

Either way I'm out that money. Food, fun etc.

You can recycle a trash bag of soda cans for ~~ $20 or so. That's like 2-3 dlc characters.

That's exactly what I was arguing for, this way you can choose what you want to pay for. $8 for the character & a costume isn't bad on paper, but the fact that you don't have an option to buy the character separately if you want to makes it look like even more of a rip-off.

I'm not sure it's in Capcom's interest at this point to give people those choices. Better for us, absolutely, but worse for them.

Sell them separate might allows them to capitalize. If some players bought certain character and they ended up like the character so much then they would purchase premium costume which would net them two more dollars than a bundle of character and costume.

Full black garbage bag if crushed cans can net around 20 or so. Maybe more? It's been about 6m since I've taken any in.

I do wish that people could get an hour demo or something got characters. A singular training mode with no tag function and a cpu that doesn't die? Let people test a character before buying.

Or the ability it buy things piecemeal.

Yes, and that same amount spent would have gotten you much more similar content from their current and previous games. The price increase relative to their other games and similar content is the point in question here, not comparison to other non-game items. When you're used to spending a certain amount on something and they jack the price up 50-60%, regardless of the absolute cost, it's not unreasonable to not just happily accept it because other unrelated things still cost more.

Yeah in Injustice 2 there is a 'demo universe' to tryout new characters for a week it's pretty cool (or rather try the new hero out for the first week it's out)

They didn't eat anything except their own shit given by how this game is performing.

As always MM fans talk the loudest but when it's time to walk the walk they bounce and complain about some other crap.

Nigga u cannot come at MM fans cause they didn't buy mvci, it's one thing if it's an actual MM game but for an appearance in a fg and they don't fuck with fg games but they should buy it cause it has MM in it?

Nigga you good?

I think his point is why should they include shitty MM characters if it doesn't drive any sales anyway when they could include other characters instead.

Like Regina.

It's pretty astounding we got X at all, going back to think about it a little while. Mega Man, Volnutt, Zero... like throwing darts at a board till they got the bull's eye.

Having Sigma is some early 2000's era wishful thinking for me.

I'm okay with keeping Zero around because having him and X together in a 2v2 fighter is pretty cool, but Sigma's inclusion was really overkill.

Actually the interesting thing about fighting games is that everyone wants a bigger roster but it's very unlikely that you'll be able to put serious time into more than a handful of characters. So to an individual player most of the characters don't end up doing anything for them. You have to have that big cast to try to appeal to the broadest audience possible.
I'm on the extreme end of the spectrum where I play maybe 2 guys max throughout the duration of a fighting game, partly because of character familiarity and partly because of laziness. There are characters in fighting games I have never selected even as a joke. I like watching other people play them but I myself have little interest.

Costumes are $4 for a single character, right?

They said everyone in the cast will have a premium costume, so I'm wondering if they'll do anything in the way of bundle deals. I can't imagine getting every costume because that shit will be about $120 altogether.

Got sure I Hella understand.

I guess things like that don't bug me for two reasons.

-everything has always just been getting more expensive. These days cheat codes cost got renamed 'in ap purchases'. Everything just costs more. Inflation sucks but whatevs that's how the world rocks.

-ive been blessed that for the most part I make a little more money to keep up with the rat race. I definitely say blessed because I know not everyone has a similar situation to me.

They've shown they have stopped trying to price these reasonably, so expect nothing in terms of customer friendly options, and you won't be disappointed. Not to mention with these sales, they seemingly have to double-down on gouging the die-hards that did buy the game.

Not one MM char in this game is shitty, all dope choices. Shitty mm char choices would be like Tron or roll lmao.

One of the best mm characters and that's overkill?!?

One of the best things they did imo...

Mega Man X fans ate. The other games in the franchise got no reps here.

They've gotten reps in other games though. 16-bit classic MM in MvC 1-2 and Roll and Servbot in 2, Mega Man.EXE and MMZ Zero in Onimusha: Blade Warriors, Mega Man Volnutt and Roll in TvC, Zero in MvC3, Infinite and SNK vs. Capcom, 8-bit classic MM in Smash 4, Tron Bonne in MvC2-3.

Tron or someone from the classic series should have taken Zero's spot in the base roster, honestly.

oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Seeing as they were recycling so much from 3, it'd have been criminal to not put Zero together with X. Their team dynamic is great, too.

- Hero
- Sidekick
- Villain

- Chris
- Jill
- Wesker

- Dante
- Trish
- Vergil

- Ryu
- Chun-li
- Akuma

The trio works. Anymore than that, then you're asking for cuts. It's harder on the Marvel-side because they all work together in-universe, but for video game characters? Totally fine, unless it's better suited for a duo (Firebrand/Arthur).

Yuck no.... X,Zero, Sigma the holy trinity.

Am only upset that this will never happen again. Oh well , going by sales figures this might be the last MvC we get anyway.

Out of all the Megaman characters , I feel like Zero has transitioned the best. Possibly because he was a close range character in the X games anyway but still.

I know he gets a lot of hate for being annoying to play against. But I feel like they have translated his moves perfectly. Even more so in Infinite.

Zero feels like he's been a fighting game character all along and didn't come from a completely different genre. He's adapted more perfectly than almost any other character in any Vs. game.

I don't think I wanna play a Vs. game without him going forward.

I like the idea of each character having at least one other person from their game/comic/movie in it. So Winter Soldier goes with Cap, Venom goes with Spidey, X goes with Zero, etc. Not sure who would go with Black Panther.

Sigma looks neat but they probably should've shrunk his head down a bit. Seems malnourished. Hopefully I can make a 17th Unit team. My left hand would appreciate not charging Zero's buster all day.

Klaw with black panther and would be another marvel villain.

I personally love that we have a villain from MM although I cant recall Sigma. I used to be really bad at classic MM games and cant recall beating a single one. I really dig how Sigma looks.

Angela Basset. Doesn't even have to be her character just put her in the game and let her wreck fools.
