I've heard it discussed, and I believe Dave also speculated that, Owens/Shane is Falls Count Anywhere so they can pre-record the Shane spot backstage and/or with stuntman

ROHWrestling.com has learned that Daryl Takahashi has agreed to terms and will be accompanying Hiromu Takahashi on the Global Wars Tour. In addition to accompanying the former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion to the ring, by popular demand, Daryl will be joining commentary for all of Hiromu Takahashis matches barring any unanticipated injuries sustained at the hands of ROH and New Japan competitors.

Paige, Emma, the 4 Horsewomen and AJ were the only women involved in the "revolution". Natty, Fox, the Bellas and Naomi had all in the company for years and never did anything of note.
If they give Sammy something to work with I'll be happy. I just fear that Owen's is weighed down whenever he has anybody else on his side. He works so much better as a paranoid, ruthless, loner who hates everyone that opposes him.
It's rightfully considered one of the worst angles in history.
For the record, Ready to Rumble was released April 7th 2000 and Arquette made his WCW debut on the 12th.
He would win the title on the 25th on an episode of Thunder; with Arquette teaming with DDP against Eric Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett, with the stipulation that whichever man got the pin would take the World Heavyweight Championship.
Arquette held the title for 12 days until the Slamboree PPV on May 7th when he was booked to defend the championship against Jarrett and DDP in a Triple Cage match, the same match featured in the climactic final scene of the Ready to Rumble film. In the end, he heel turned on Page and gave the victory to Jarrett.

Eh, I don't think Natty did much other than be a main roster talent who got beat to put the division over. Summer had a much more memorable and impactful role, especially in regards to Charlotte's development.
