TB was one of the main reasons I got back into PC gaming. He truly was a pioneer in the early days of YouTube gaming critics. He will be truly missed.
While this goes normally for the gaming industry it does not for other people in this industry aka journalists or people like himMy faith in humanity is restored. Really nice collection of comments in this thread. Life can be crap, but when people gather together with similar interests and all agree, that's really something.
RiP TB. Loved your content. You'll be greatly missed.
Bad stuff
It's a huge, huge loss for the PC gaming community as a whole. I can't think of another critic as competent, honest, thorough, reliable and on the consumer's side as him.
I'm really sad he left us, and so early.

I am only posting this because it made me really mad and I can not understand how anyone can be such an awful human being. And there are a lot more of these from these circles...
Also of course Waypoint
I just went down the twitter rabbit hole of malice against TB. Wow, some people are absolute cunts.

They deserve exposed though and in the case of David Crooks from Bioware to be fucking fired. Also fuck you Austin Walker for liking the shitstorm of your employee Liz Ryerson attacking insulting and making fun of TB deathCan we get that stuff out of here, or at least spoiled for people who want to see it?
I myself didnt like the direction TB took his content in those last years, but those people dont deserve their crappy comments shared around.

...this is just devastating to watch.
He did so much for Warframe at the earliest stage, the game received the biggest push when he covered the game. And that's just one example...
Austin walker liked the tweets from her and told everyone he did it because it resonates with him. They absolutely deserve to be exposed for their horrendous people they are. I was blocked by Liz after calling out her ignorant/hypocritical statement, which she then used as an "example" of how the "fanboys" of John Bain are attacking her.
Funny thing, I am not even a huge fan of TB. He had a few good things that I enjoyed watching, I liked his Cataclysm coverage, and I disagreed with him often - but making claims and insulting a man so soon after his death? It lacks tact and respect - though what was I thinking expecting those traits from anyone who works at Waypoint. I sent in a few complaints, but I am unsure if anything will come of it.
That was... difficult to watch. Very respectful and kind words to say.

I understand. But do yourself a favor and seek out the people that are sad, miss him, and are celebrating his life instead of the people that are gloating. For example watch the twitch clip that Orpheum posted. They're devastated.last one i swear this shit just makes me angry...
You are totally right and I stopped doing this even ifit shows up in my twitter mentions.I understand. In the NoClip documentary on Warframe, the studio states how big of an impact his WTF video had on their game and, really, their livelihood.

John's family Genna & Orion are faced with short and long term challenges around housing, living expenses, income security, medical care, and the special needs of Orion (their son).
