Horizon Zero Dawn on PC (Same guy that "predicted" Death Stranding)

I honestly don’t see anything negative about this, they are to garner more profits and allow their games to reach an even wider audience. Their approach(if this is all true) on delaying games launching in PC when they launch on their Sony console is probably a more sound approach than releasing both on the same day. Though I wouldn’t fault them if they straight up copied Microsoft, but maybe they are slowly working into it? They can be a stubborn company after all.

Oh, how beautiful it is! You guys make me laugh. If you do not remember the history, it is better to look at how this business at Sony developed. PlayStation without exclusives will not be the same PlayStation. And here in your heads for some reason there is a cognitive dissonance. The development of such a business should take place within the ecosystem, the release of exclusives on the PC does not correlate with this development. And again, your poor fixation on kiddies and attempts to accuse me of wrong thinking, most likely due to your lack of understanding of this business. Why do exclusives no longer matter? They are now more needed than ever. And if you think, that the PC at all not competitor for Sony, then you idiots, not I illogical child. Once again, it is not necessary to be equal to Microsoft and compare, they have just the development of the most focused within its ecosystem and the operating system as a whole. What Sony forgot in the PC market? They have nothing in common with the PC. Bringing PC players to your console in this way? Don't be ridiculous. Make money? Find your brain, it's lost. Any release of their major exclusive games on someone else's platform will have a negative impact on the sale of their own. It's obvious. As a result, this translates into a large lack of final profit. Because Sony is important to drag players from other platforms to his own, and not try to earn as a normal publisher. Does the release of the game on PC contribute to this? Of course not. Why are you trying to convince me otherwise? In my opinion, if anyone is out of his mind, it's not me.
In short, time will put everything in its place. We just have to watch what happens and how. Good day.

Is this another one brap brap ?

Ok, ok I’ll stop now. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

You can't see because you either want to look or you don't have enough vision to know how Sony will hurt itself with these actions. If all this is true, then in time, you'll see what I was trying to say. I don't care, it's just a pity that the current American leadership will bury all that has been achieved with blood and sweat for so many years.

if there's any credence to this idea of drip-feeding PS exclusives on PC... is it too early to drool at the thought of a Bloodborne PC port being something within the realm of possibility?
Nope in fact considering that Detriot Become Human is on PC, and Death Stranding.
I think Bloodborne is just around the corner especially if HZD shows up on PC.
It's really just a matter of when I think at this point. I'm thinking they may be waiting on From Software to finish Elden Ring, then have them port Bloodborne to PC, maybe Bloodborne 2 might come out on PC day and date but that I'm a little doubtful on.

Right so I’m suppose to accept your vision as factual and right? Difference of opinion, but you only need to see something like Halo’s MCC selling what....? 1-2 million+? In the first few days, that’s money left on the table for Sony and the MCC is a collection of old first party titles from the Halo series.

Imagine GoW, HZD, Bloodborne(though technically not first party I think?) on the PC and I’m not even talking about same day release, that’s a lot of $$$ that Sony could be raking in. Money to help further their own internal studios, help with their future aspirations with next gen, VR, PSN, PSNow, etc.

Rather they actually do this or not is of course just hypotheticals and conjectures based on here say rumors and supposed leaks. If they don’t, no biggie but if they do? They can be even more profitable.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Does going to PC hurt the value of an exclusive? Yes, that's how exclusives earn their mystique, at worst SONY loses a couple sales to good PC gamers.

I'm tired of saying the same things. Sony needs exclusives to promote its console, its services. There will be no exclusives, it will not be able to hoe those countries where the PC is valued above consoles, and there are many such countries. The audience there may be small in general, but in the course of time there will be a decent number of people from all absolutely regions who simply will not buy a PS5. Because you don't need it. And then what? It's a dead end. Sales of consoles will seriously slow down, and the quality of their games will seriously suffer in the end. Why? Because you will not need to strain your ass to release an iconic exclusive to attract a new audience, respectively, the budgets for the games will decrease. Sony will earn income on direct sales of their games a little more, thanks to the PC, but not the fact, but it will definitely lose a lot in expanding its console audience and the ecosystem as a whole. You really don't get it? The Playstation brand has received such development and the name itself, which is known probably almost all people on earth, just thanks to such a conservative japanese policy with exclusives. The same goes for Nintendo, whose games did not go beyond their system. Exclusive games - this is the face of the platform, take exclusives away and you will remove the face. And enough to compare with Microsoft, they have their own console business and they fucked it up. Their decision to merge with the PC audience is more than justified. Sony does not need to do this at all.
You can all laugh and even neigh like horses, but time will tell. Without exclusives, the PS5 will die as that special and the best console people chose, brand power will fade, it will just be another gaming device like the squalid Xbox, nothing more. I hope that in Sony not such morons came to the management who do not understand it such simple things because of which Playstation all this time developed and endured the darkest times of PS3, thanks to exclusive games.

if Sony want to wider audience and sell a lot games only need to get more games for PS4 even when PS5 is in the market. It’s pretty stupid that logic, when it’s evident they are dropping PS4 new games (horizon 2, GT7, Bluepoint remake) to force their clients to buy PS5. I don’t know what people who bought a Pro months ago will think when they release new games on PC and ignore a “PlayStation” console. No sense for me.

It's good if Sony wants to put their games on the pc.
They have really quality and high profile games limited to their console.
It makes sense financially to release them on pc and the pc crowd is likely to be receptive to their games.
I don't expect Sony to put their 1st party games on pc the same day they release it for playstation, but after 6 months or a year, sure, I see this might becoming a reality.

Because everyone who owns a PS4 or the Pro variant has the means and want to game on a PC right? Not everyone wants to do that.

That really doesn’t tell us anything. A definite no or yes would be nice, that comment just makes me think he can’t talk about it yet.

Here’s a definite. It’s time to stop giving attention to BS rumors. Horizon isn’t coming to PC.

I mean you just repeated what the other poster said. I’m not saying it’s happening, but if it does, I don’t see an issue with it. We can revisit this in February if you want.

How could this guy have “famously predicted” what Sony announced in their own FAQ after the deal with Kojima Productions?

What a clown world.

Sure, but I’m guessing not many people read that Sony FAQ. It’s not like it’s a well known fact that there was always a planned PC version and the fact it was eventually known to the heveral public, you had Sony making statements about wanting to reach a wider audience.

He didn’t predict though, Sony officially said that’s what they were going to do way back when they first announced it.

Words and language have meaning.

Im not saying he predicted it, I’m saying hardly anyone knew it was coming before he “predicted” it.

It wouldn't be terrible for me. They may not announce it. I'm only going by what my sources tell me. They didn't mention names (well, except one). We'll see next year.

I hope they announce it soon I want to get this over and done with let the announcement happen and let the salt pour in but that guy sounds like he's trolling us not saying no but not saying yes either just making fun of the guy well next year.

Yeah I should also add you, this russian guy, and the guy in the video are all saying it's happening me I'm just hoping for Game Awards want to buy some booze to celebrate if it happens.

I'm not sure I see where someone made a troll statement.

This guy works at Guerilla as a Game director when pressed about it he's like "What's a PC"
It's not a yes or no but kinda implied it's not happening but then again these guys work on PCs so he could just be trying to throw people off

I see what you mean. I guess we'll just have to see what comes down the pike! Whatever happens for this show, doesn't mean no other PS4 game is coming out on PC. We're already seeing the conversions a little at a time. It's already happening.
I mean it might not show up at the Game Awards but it could show up and hopefully soon. Though I'm hoping Game Awards personally though you have said your sources don't tell you dates.

There seemed to be next to nothing from Sony, so maybe they’re saving announcements for another event?

OK. Let's say it's BS.

Sony is still pissing me off. They have shown NOTHING = 0 = nadda = zelch towards anything they are working on. That's very infuriating and I let my sources know that.
You make it sound like they'd owe you something.

They owe the community something. MS is embarrassing them.
They have told us what we are to expect from first-party output next year, with the exception of GoT with exact dates even. MS has... shown a form factor? The specs are still unknown, no matter what speculation online.

True, but MS has shown far more than Sony. If it were me, I would have never shown a GB title as my first PS5 reveal. That shows me a lot of the current state of new developments (i.e. not show worthy). I know a few companies are working OT on these last gen PS4 titles but nothing else. I'm sure their hardware is spec'd out and built already. It would've been nice to see their reveal as well.

I find it amazing that Sony is being "embarrassed", but they are releasing AAA games all the way up until the PS5, for the PS4. Ghost looked dope AF!

MS fans seemingly have to wait until the next Xbox launch for AAA games again from them.

Sony will show their console when they are ready, they still have current gen games to sell.

Everybody has current gen games to sell. When PS5 XSX comes out, there will still be current gen games to sell. Ghost looked good, but it's in-game cinematics. It's not representative of what the game will look like on screen. And the PS4Pro version isn't going to be much different than Sekiro. I must say though, I will wait for the PC version *IF* it comes out later. I love the Japan setting and Sekiro was just too hard for me tbh.
