It's easily one of the best games released this entire generation, but crapped on due to console war nonsense. The story and gameplay are among the best this generation has seen. The fast paced gameplay, the way you chain powers together during gameplay. Nothing quite touched this till Control came out from a pure gameplay standpoint.
It's an amazing game, one of the best Remedy has ever made. Don't listen to the hate on it. The performances from all involved was absolutely top notch. In fact, the lady that plays Beth is the same woman who plays the lead character in control. Absolutely amazing performance in both instances, but especially in Quantum Break. I still need to beat Control.

I think it just got pooped on because of all the tvtvtv stuff from launch. But I really can't think of anything else like it on this scale. Plus the story is great as well and your choices do affect story points and certain other things... Gah, making me want to play it again.

Especially when you're good at this game, trust me the thing just works in a way that many other games just don't. So largely whenever people say that Xbox didn't do a good enough job with exclusives this gen, for the most part that's true. BUT this game here was an amazing title and one of the best of the gen, a game that totally goes against that narrative. It just never received the appreciation it truly deserved. It was also a technical masterpiece.

I got it a long time back in some steam sale but only recently started playing it. Pretty good so far, but the graphics aren't as good as I expected. Deus Ex Mankind Divided looks so much better and performs better for me.

Don't listen to this. It's nonsense. Anyone who seriously says this just isn't good at the game. I wish I was one of those people who recorded my gameplay so people could see what a skilled player on this game is capable of.

this is true but you'll get used to it eventually. the controller aiming is not really good (it's a bit better in Control)
but on PC, with a mouse... i would say $10 is worth it. it's fun during the fight scenes but there's too much """""CINEMATIC"""" bullshit in the game, and I'm not talking about cutscenes and the whole TV show aspect, I'm talking the usual "let's take all controls from you except for the left stick... slow you down to 50% speed and walk slowly for 5min" bullshit modern AAA games do which is absolutely bad gamedesign... but somehow never gets criticized

That's the point - the aim assist literally locks the crosshair onto the enemies, completely killing the experience and taking away all the fun, but without it the controls feel like Killzone 2, just swinging the crosshair left and right with K+M feels seriously off.

Absolutely a fantastic game. Like pretty much all of remedy’s games. The tv show thing sucks, but beyond that the story, graphics, and gameplay are top notch.

The live action stuff is completely superfluous and they should've just dropped that whole aspect of the game.
Other than that, definitely worth 10$. A fun 10 hour or so game that looks incredible
