I see you also own a XSX, at least you know what really silent is. You've paid for a console without issues so don't accept anything less because it will bother you non-stop.

Xbox nailed the silent aspect since they launched the Xbox One. I can't ever go back to a console that I can hear above my HT.

I didnt even have a xbox last gen 😂 I just like gaming and can see the positives an negative in every platform. All the people I follow its because their posts are well thought out and reasonable. What they play on is irrelevant.

Of course they are tied to my account but I still need a device to play them on. Your super paranoid looking for ways to defend Sony on this issue over everything 😂.

Just a generic observation that every post about ps5 issue is never from someone with a history of liking playstation.

Every thread is full of catladty, concern and the usual troll gang. Funny that.

Take that for what you want as to most readers its rather dubious. Show me 2 genuine playstation fans with a history of playstation gaming and I will believe you.

Not a big ask, just 2.

I'm a massive Playstation fan. Surely it stands to reason someone heavily invested in Playstation will be upset over hardware issues more so than a xbox poster with an agenda (like you allude).

I have 2 PS5's, one disc and one digital, I also have several IRL friends who have PS5's and NOT ONE of them have coil whine or any noise issues.....

It seems a bit too coincidental that there are so many people reporting coil whine here, especially considering many of the people mentioning it have a certain commonality.

I want to see any clear Playstation gamer and CLEAR fan witha post history to match complaining. I have not seen any in this thread. Funny that.

Even if there xbox fans first what are you saying? They have bought a console, complained just to get points against Sony? Don't buy into the crazy theories some users will have you believe 😊.

Excuse me you nasty little troll, not that it's ANY of your business, but Hostile_18 Hostile_18 is one of the very few people I've ever given my Xbox Gamertag to because he has always been a polite and pleasant diehard Sony fan (not raging fanboy like yourself) and he decided to go with both consoles this gen instead of PS only like he did last gen .

He is much more of a Sony fan than an Xbox fan, and I feel bad he for him having problems because he was quite excited about his PS5 and really looking forward to the launch games. Instead he's had some issues with his first and now his 2nd PS 5 and to make it worse he has to put up with raging fanboys like yourself harassing and criticizing him.

I don't care if it's 2 or 2 million PS5 having problems, but I do feel bad for OP and I have as much right to express my sympathy and support as you do to badger and harass him.

It's hard to capture coil whine, I tried this morning. It's clear as day in real life but using my phone camera it was hardly picking it up. Maybe partly the reason why Sony didnt ask for it from me.

Mines really loud. I had to put it in the laundry room and run the hdmi through the wall.

If a slim model drops that fixes this ill upgrade in a heartbeat. Sucks having to go to another room just to swap discs

Sorry, I somehow missed the part about you were simply waiting until supply is better to send it in for a replacement. I thought you were like oh, well no big deal.

That totally makes sense, since getting a replacement probably isn't going to be easy at the moment, it may not even be a big deal, but after my drives on the 360 I'm paranoid about Xbox disc drives.

Unfortunately mine whines too, but given I have studio monitors that hiss it isn't that distracting. If I have them off using TV sound it's mildly annoying though

Try waiting 18 days to get it back to have to wait another 16 days, see how you feel about it. Been looking forward to getting the PS5 for ages, even did the UK pre order thread to help other people get theirs.

On YOUR console, as with fan noise last gen. Despite all efforts not all consoles are built equally.

Ps the ones trying to make out its xbox fans with an agenda are proper embarrassing themselves. They don't need xbox fanboys to even try to troll them.

A discoloration on the shell is far from bad luck considering coil whine and bricked systems that are being reported.

Sony fans can’t let any blemish to there gods name go unchallenged.

I think a minutes silence in respect is called for.

There' s at least 10 friends I know of, who managed to get their PS5. I talk to most of them (PSN or in person) and neither reported any issue(s) with their PS5. Mine is pretty quiet (coming from PS4 Pro 1st version). I can hear the fan spinning quietly when in very close proximity and BD drive going into an overdrive when you launch a disk based game. That's all. I am sure Xbox SX is very quiet machine and may be even quieter than PS5. People who whine about supposed coil whine are probably the ones who don't even have PS5.

My real life friend's one has coil whine and he said that his XSX is silent (bought the XSX weeks later). Mine and my brother's PS5 are dead silent. He's going to try to return it for another one.

Strange how theres not (or comparatively very little) Playstation fans doing the same in Xbox hardware threads. Playstation fans must hold themselves to higher standards if your wild theory is true... or you know the more logical reason that the xbox is simply built to a higher standard in this instance (in terms of workmanship).

Honestly feels like I might be arguing with kids here. I've made my points, ignore all the evidence to the contrary and just blame it on FUD like some do when theres no valid evidence to support your assertions.

Most of his posts are about xbox and Nintendo

Show me a clear ps5 fan with a post history of such who has issues.

What are you talking about? Where did I say that? I had a day 1 PS4 and a Day 1 PS4 Pro only, no Xbox.

Edit: Most of my posts are about X box and Nintendo? Your actually insane 😂 My favourite games are the Playstation exclusives in most cases. You proved my point though your scrambling for anything at this point.

So change your ps5 if you genuinly have an issue.. 1 % of all consoles will have issues,and be warranty replacements thats normal.

10,000 for every million, whether its ps5 or XSX .

My problem is the posters piling in to make an issue out of normal consumer electronics.

I said the same when posters where FUDing XSX fails a while back if you look. Its wrong and gets my back up.
