Well this sucks, well at least I'll have Halo Infinite to boot up on the Series X!

Hopefully Starfield is a Q1 2022 release, would be perfect start to the year for Xbox (as long as the game is good obviously!)

We're almost halfway through 2021 already with nothing but a small announcement trailer and a few unofficial leaks, so it's more than obvious the game is not coming this year, probably not even Q1 2022.

To be fair people were expecting the fallout 4 treatment, announced at e3 and released a few months later.

Well there's still a chance for such scenario, with MS aiming for a strong presence on E3, so we will most likely get to see a lot more of the game, maybe even a glimpse into the gameplay, but given the remote work environment I think a lot of games scheduled for this year's release will be pushed back to 2022.

Also, FPS boost is great. If Sony had something like that they would be pushing it too. Nothing wrong with that...

The weasel has been blacklisted by Bethesda for years, and a lot of the time is just making "educated" guesses that people take as gospel for some reason.

Bruh, come on. If Jason says it's not coming, it's 99% not coming.

Having said that, he didn't say because he had any information. He just told the user when he thinks at this stage. But if and when he "leaks" this information properly, you know that it will be 100% true.

Seriously outside of that maybe a forza release and recently Psychonaughts 2. Their big announcments will be for games on Gamepass like Battlefield 6. They are already leaning heavy on it to compensate for lack of new first party titles. Even exclusive third party. THey had Outriders and MLB the show for MARCH/APRIL.

Gamepass is the thing they will be leaning heavy on this Fall along with Halo.

Don't want to nitpick but Schreier didn't said "Game is not coming." He said "I don't think game is coming"
And that's huge difference. Especially because in march he tweeted that he don't know if the game will be out in 2021.

Maybe he is just cautious because of COVID. Remember, he said few weeks ago, that until you have game in your hands, anything can happen.

Yeah I think he's probably on the money especially with Microsofts purchase, they won't want another Halo reveal debacle, unsure why people would think this is not the case given how little we have been shown of the game.

Well, they did show it, and we did see it.

Anyway, just because of one or two Fallout, people keep saying that "you know Bethesda just announces the game and releases it the same year, 4 months later." I'm just reminding everyone that it's not completely true.

They did do that a couple of times, but they have also done the other thing -- announced a game years ago and didn't release it for YEARS -- more times.

His guess is as good as anyone's right now. Fact is he doesn't know, if he'd know he'd scream it from top off the tallest mountain and write atleast two "SHOCKING" articles about it.

I'm still in the camp called
"Starfield was supposed to be out in 2020, but due to COVID and Microsoft purchase, game was delayed to 2021"

It's pretty clear that game will be at this year's E3 Bethesda/Xbox conference and we all know how BGS likes to market their games...Show it at E3 and release it less then 6 months later.
