Xbox |OT| Power Your Dreams

Gonna be honest guys, if this is true I'm really gonna start being critical of MS' first party output, especially during this first year of next-gen. All the acquisitions are nice but we really need to start seeing tangible results. And if this is true it really puts even more pressure on Halo Infinite, as it looks like that's still going to be carrying MS' first party for the most part. If they fuck up its presentation again, shit is going to start getting ugly quick.

I don’t think criticising MS for Starfield is particularly fair, the game has been in development for years before the MS acquisition, I still expect Forza Horizon 5 to be revealed at E3 and released September/October, Flight Simulator is also coming this year and you never know they may have something else up their sleeve.

Not really criticizing MS for Starfield in particular, just seems like a lot of their games are getting "this game is super early in development/doesn't even exist yet" rumors recentlyy. And from what Jason's saying it sounds to me like it's a real possibility Starfield could slip into 2023 due to covid and other things.

Hopefully they can pull out a few surprises at E3 but if not, I dunno.

Starfield has been in development for SIX YEARS. Clout chasing weasel "journalists" should research things before making themselves look like the amateur idiots they are.

Yeah, all of these Starfield rumors are very weird and confusing. He seems to be saying they were busy working on Fallout 76, but I though that was a separate Bethesda studio doing that?

Regardless, I'm expecting at least a 2022 launch now, but not ruling out 2023 if covid interfered a lot.

I have two questions for anyone that has tried to watch a 4K blu ray on their Series X. I was playing it vertically and the console was really loud. It was fine horizontally. Has anyone experienced this? Also, I was playing a brand new Spider-Man (2002) 4K disc and it kept skipping at parts even after I cleaned it. It was fine on my PS5 though. Has anyone had an issue like this where it plays fine on one player but not another?

So I've been playing Dayz on gamepass to get the gamerscore/rewards for this month.

How did this game ever get popular. UI a mess. Buggy as hell. Even lighting a fire was buggy. Equipping a gun is weird because you have to move it to your hand after.

I get that it's a survival game but even just doing the achievments on an achievment server was a paint process

E3 is just weeks away. I see no point in having much of an opinion on their output till after they show us what they've got for end of the year and the next year overall.

Series X blu ray is terrible. Don't know if it's the drev or the app, but I constantly have problems. Mostly it's playback error and I have to reboot the xbox a few times to get it to work. Some movies it refuses to play altogether.

It's also pretty noisy. No such problems with other players.

I was planning on getting the digital PS5, but I'm getting the disc based one after all the annoyances of the xbox player.

I haven't heard great things about ps5 Blu-Ray either though tbh I haven't looked much into it. I do know it is also fairly noisy.

I’ve never had that. Although, to be fair, it is in horizontal position in my tv stand whereas the X is vertically next to the stand. Even when horizontal, I found the x to be louder for the 4K blu ray I was watching.

Just to be clear - not saying Starfield should be rushed out or anything like that. The last thing MS needs on their hands is a Cyberpunk situation, and that's what Karak Karak seems to be implying would've happened in this post:

Regardless, I still stand by what I said; lineup seems soft as of right now and if that doesn't change at E3 I do think MS should've planned things out better. And also if Starfield is indeed mid-late 2022 it will put tremendous pressure on Halo Infinite to impress at E3, I just really hope they can deliver this time.

wondering if anyone has had this issue before, so i just unlocked an achievement and checked my gamerscore which was 115k+ but is only showing 57730 now.. even on true achievements i can see games ive completed or unlocked achievements for but on xbox games are showing 0. is this a common issue?

Made a crappy phPBB forum once ... once.
When my Xbox has that problem usually unplugging the external storage and plugging it back in works.
Cheers. Only have internal storage on Series X

if you look on the microsoftrewards reddit lots of people from the UK (including me) have had issues opening the app today.

Nice one. Least it’s not just me, would hate to lose my 12 week streak!!

Whishing someone would release a cheap streaming device for mobile gaming. Screen on top with physical controls on the bottom, with limited hardware that's good enough to stream but probably couldn't run anything locally. You'd think something like that could be made a lot cheaper/smaller than the switch since you would be scaling down the hardware so much.
