I wouldn't consider sex being taboo in 2021 America. Some people just appreciate modesty. Porn has been defended by the courts and whatnot. Look at the stuff that is in music videos and on TV award shows. My wife was watching True Blood a few months back, my god, I couldn't believe the stuff that was on there. I'm not a prude by any means, just had no idea how sexualized that show is.

Making fun of someone for odd or embarrassing behavior is what is called good social pressure. It's become negatively perceived today, but it's actually a crucial part of development and maturing. Most if not all of us learned not to do certain things or exhibit certain behaviors when our classmates laughed at us for it.

I feel like a lot of this hyper-sexualized stuff that makes its way into lyrics and writing is fine for an adult audience but not necessarily good for consumption to a general audience. I'm basically just shit posting, myself. I don't like Kotaku much, or the need people feel to relate every piece of entertainment in their lives to real world issues, but in all seriousness, if you can make a living doing that, then I respect the grind. I just think not *everything* is a metaphor. Not even just relating to identity politics. Sometimes a duck is just a duck. Fantasy is in the very name of the property in question here. Beyond the themes of each game, trying to align things with real world analogues usually just serves to break my immersion and suspension of disbelief in a property. Save some of those clouds for me.
