Honestly I don't think it is weird.

Romance stories in books and movies are very exciting for a lot of woman, even more than raw pornography. FFX have a touching love story for a videogame and a young and impressionable teenager girl could be impressed with it.

You could do way worse than FFX as sexual awakening! It is a great game. I would be worried if it was Manhunt or Boogerman.
