Don't see nothing wrong with him personally because in norse mythology Thor is described as a barrel-chested ugly man , it's Marvel's version that's wrong .
Yeah but they were forgettable for it as well. Same with Hercules in GOW3. Muscle bound brutes are a dime a dozen in gamesYa'll talking about strong men, here are some clever designed strong men
his own actual sons....
not this....
"I wanted him to almost feel like a man child, you know, like if you had that much power and you can do those things, you're not going to grow. You don't need to. You just do what you want"
Not a single female in that image. Definitely cringe inducing.i feel like throwing up every time i see that image.
If you read the original stories then it's also how they're largely portrayed. Not so much as tyrants but as powerful enough that they simply didn't give a crap about anything but themselves.God Of War: Ragnarok's Director Speaks With Us About This Game's Version Of Thor
From body shape to personality, Eric Williams and Cory Barlog talk to Game Informer about Thor in God Of War: Ragnarokwww.gameinformer.com
From this, the design make sense, I said this before in my pervious post, in GOW Gods are nit portrayed as this perfect being but rather as more of tyrants.

“Well, I don’t know, we just want him to be a big boy, you know. There’s Marvel’s interpretation of him is one thing. It’s interesting. We wanted to, you know, go a little deeper into the mythology itself,” Williams says about Thor having a burlier body type. Being godly is all about presence, and while this version of Thor doesn’t look like a sculpted underwear model, his traits of power and intensity are no less effective. Williams also talks about people he knows in real life with a bigger stature and how that translates into Thor: “They have a presence immediately. And it’s not always because of muscles. They’re just like that is a wall of a human being, you know. So this is a wall of a God, you know, and that’s why it was very important.”
LOL Thor is a Warrior God not a weightlifter. Those physiques are awful for combat. Look up modern special forces guys. If you showed up to SEAL camp looking like that the instructors would bust out laughing because they know you would ring out. This Thor is not 9% bodyfat. More like 40.Ever seen a frikkin' strongman?
This is much closer to the mythological Thor than your Marvel movies. Do you really think a strong Viking would have cared about his 9% body fat? F*ck no!
Well a fat face wouldn't prevent her from being an agile hunter...I mean her face.
Not to mention an insanely good battle themeDarkseid doesn't have a mask or cape. MODOK is just a head on chair. the antagonist can even be a nice guy like Dr.Maruki in P5R, he was the last really memorable antagonist in game for me and had a majestic battle design.
I understand where you're coming from, but its also a breathe of fresh air to not see the cookie cutter version of Thor.
Just.....what. No im not saying I want #hemsworth in this I dont mind the attire the hair etc. Its just, a god that should be one of the most recognize-able and should scream badassery is thor but just.....whaaaaattttt
I also dislike how much like the other site "omg body shaming how dare you" do people realize how unhealthy it is to be obese? Its not just a detriment to yourself its also to our health care system. If you can walk to the fridge fine you can exercise. Stop making obesity a norm in society.
When I see Thor like this I'm not thinking about how cool or powerful he looks, Im thinking about diabetes.

Rick and Morty to top it all offOh my fucking god.
I fucking hate Neogaf these days.
Seriously what the fuck is up with all this shit fucking knee-jerk threads complaining about every single fucking thing lately?
Holy fucking shit, when did we become inexcusably too much like Reddit? Isn't there a discussion thread where we can discuss this instead of a new thread just to gain wah wah attention to our wah wah complaints?
I know I'm just stinking up the thread, and I apologize, but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck all this shit.
Women who don't care to participate in certain events make you cringe? Not a single female in that image. Definitely cringe inducing.
Sorry perhaps I worded it incorrectly. It just would have been nice to see females at the event. Some diversity I guess.Women who don't care to participate in certain events make you cringe?
Thor isn't menacing. In norse mythology he's quick to anger, sure, but he's also the greatest element of comedic relief.I think he looks too soft and not menacing enough.
Where is this from? Reverse image search isn't giving me results. It's not so much the fact he looks fat, but his armor design.
Who the fuck wears something that covers their shoulders and arms, but leaves their entire torso and belly exposed?
Thor looks A MILLION times better here, despite looking like a fat goober.
I don't have a dog in this fight so only talking about the quote of Thor being designed as a man-child.God Of War: Ragnarok's Director Speaks With Us About This Game's Version Of Thor

Anyone of those 3 would have being better than this design. That Thor doesn't look like a strongman at all. And the fact that he hasn't got an armour on the most vulnerable part of his body is ridiculous.Ever seen a frikkin' strongman?

Oh, look. The undisciplined, nearly invulnerable asshole God who drinks a lot and gets all his power from his bloodline is depicted as a fat asshole who doesn't care how he looks while wearing pointless armor.
Yeah guys. Those artists are out of line. How are you going to masturbate to him in that state? Write to your senators immediately.
GoW ending ? If you back to your house ? They just brightened the picture or played with PhotomodeWhere is this from? Reverse image search isn't giving me results.
Thank you.GoW ending ? If you back to your house ? They just brightened the picture or played with Photomode
They made Baldur freaking strong and intimidating. They will be fine with a drunk, fat mountain of flesh. He doesn't look like a fat but active person.
He looks like a couch potato.
Seeing him fighting will be hilarious not scary.
Not that I was expecting much better for the SMM, on twitter Barlog has been acting like a fool for years.
