Tom Henderson: Forza Motorsport not until Spring 2023

When I refer to hiding games I mean games they plan on selling, are just about finished, and ready to release within a few months. Xenoblade 3 and the latest Kirby game are two examples of this. Microsoft does not operate like that at all.
I think Hellblade 2 and Forza 8 are the best candidates for a 2022 release, but I have a feeling both get delayed to 2023.

Perfect Dark, Fable, Avowed, State of Decay and Everwild have been MIA since they were revealed 2 years ago, most with CG trailers. At least hellblade got a gameplay demo so that might be on the cards and forza 8 despite Tom's rumor should not miss 2022 because Turn 10 is typically able to get games out in 2 years.

There might be a Zenimax game or two as well, but I highly doubt we will see a 5 month reveal to release from those studios.

Hell i would even take campaign DLC for Halo Infinite. The Starfield/Redfall delay really shit the bed.

Lol no chance Hellblade is getting released this year.

Could end up being a glorified tech demo any, much more interested in Avowed.

Hmm it not like there is a game showcase that is 95 minutes long on sunday i wonder what they show for 95 minutes

Sony already released HFW, GT7, MLB '22 this year in terms of 1P games, plus Returnal co-op DLC. Nintendo I'm sure have released a few things, they have the new Mario soccer game coming and Xenoblade 3 later this year while Sony's bringing TLOU Remake and GOW Ragnarok.

Microsoft hasn't had anything 1P this year so far outside of Top Gun DLC for Flight Sim and minuscule Season 2 content for Halo Infinite that didn't last very long at all. It's been poverty for MS 1P this year.

EDIT: Too many Nintendo games to keep track of, I forgot they already released that Kirby game. I still need to pick that up sometime.

Hmm like the shows in the past where they’ve had to pad them out by showing a load of pre rendered trailers for games like The Outer Worlds 2, Avowed, Fable, Perfect Dark and Everwild that were all 3-5 years out minimum. Yeah, can’t wait to see what they show that we’ll be playing in 2029 on Sunday.

2029? So by your logic Sony showing Wolverine CGI means it also 2029 right LMFAO

The Show came to xbox so doesn't really count. Ms had two dlcs while Sony only had one. Sony got them beat with the other two exclusives though. But they were both supposed to launch last year. Ms has a wealth of games last year when Sony didn't. Sony would have been competitive with Ms last year if they had gotten gt7 and hzd2 out on time

So after Sunday will Xbox still have no games for 2022? is that what you are saying cause i find that hard to believe

That's fine. Take your time

It's going on five years since the last Forza Motorsport....

Last circuit racer that took five years was GT5 and that...that one didn't pan out too well (took a while for it to get up to par).

Honestly we have no way of knowing, and that's part of the problem. If something were planned, even a game they've shown previously that could be coming out this year, you think they could've at least named them around the time they announced those delays. Why not at least make the mention at that time?

So I'm inclined to think, until proven otherwise, they don't have anything for 2022 outside of the Deathloop port to Xbox. I guess they may have Forza after all and even Gears remake collection, those sound plausible, but even people like Jez and Tom are saying one's delayed 'till next year and the other doesn't exist.

Only good news could be, MS is intentionally misdirecting the insiders. Which they could've done a while ago TBH since they were spoiling secret projects WAY early last year.

I think those days are over. It looks like Forza is going full GAAS, where this one game will be the Forza for the next 5 to 10 years.

Forza Horizon will be seperate and likely still see new entries every couple years.
Brother you are triggering me. The last time I heard ‘10 year plan’ and ‘GAAS’ together was for Halo and we got 3 maps and a packet of bubblegum for a game.

Well damn, better not see you adding any of those Bethesda games (Deathloop and Ghostwire) to the Xbox line-up any time in the future.

Ms has a wealth of games last year when Sony didn't.
What games were those?
